    If u read back thats what i have said but yearly boosters arnt neccessary, f****n hell i think you need medical help. Puppy jabs are to help build a pups resistance to distemper and parvovirus amongst other illnesses, it offers no protection agains leptospirosis, but by the time a pup is ready to enter to rat it and its immune system will be strong enough to deal with exposure, im almost blue in the face here- im sick of repeating myself!! Vets, like any clued up dog lad will tell you play on peoples emotions and arnt beyond scaremongering in search of the poundnote!

    I have and puppy jabs offer no protection. Like i say all my pups are jabbed up, and they build up a resistance through contact with rats and places rats frequent...... after all an innoculation is just exposure to the disease, but you being a clever c**t you will know that.     After a walk along the river this morning i noticed how much more businesslike my little black pup 'stan' is.     Iv just been to a bloke for a price for a double kennel and run. 2x 4ft square kennels and x2 4ft square runs 550 notes including delivery and putting it up... top quality matterials. By the time bought and picked up matterials i would be over his price, and then i have to put it together... needless to say iv ordered mine!

    Helpfull write up... i work in land drainage and quiet a few of the dykes that we have pumping stations has large populations of signals, i know this because the grab on weedscreen cleaners pull out not only weed and debris but dozens of signals. I have also been busy stripping down a couple of pumps and found crays inside them... think when the water warms up il have a crack at them!

    What a load of bollocks... i work in contaminated water and sewage on a daily basis, do you not think they would develop a jab for people if they had one for dogs.... i think you might be thinking of parvovirus or distemper. Dont get me wrong i would urge people to have all pups jabbed, and when rearing a litter i keep them all until after the 1st jab, but jabs offer no protection what so ever to lepto.... i personally know of jabbed and unjabbed pups falling foul of it.

    Puppy jabs or booster jabs dont protect against leptospirosis, humans cant even get a jab for this, i should know- i work in land drainage. Dont get me wrong all my pups get jabbed but they dont make a bit of difference as far as lepto is concerned, it all comes down to a healthy immune system, and that comes from exposing the dog to rats. Rats also carry hepatitus and jaundice... dont tell me- puppy jabs are effective against these as well..... nob off.

    When i was keepering we used wire crates for catching up. The crates were 3ft x 3ft and 2ft high with a funnel on 2 of the sides... and like paulus says bait with wheat or maize although the birds find maize easier i find. Just be careful whos pheasants your catching up!

    Every morning when i take the dogs to the allotment to feed the hens i kick a pallet i have a feeder sat on.... when we have rats there is always one bolts towards the chicken shed so when i have a pup i block the run and its that easy

    I have alwys made my own nets since my dad showed me when i was just a nipper. I always used hemp until i started with spon poly.... at least with spun poly you arnt worried about it rotting and the net breaking when a fox hits it, trouble with these 2 materials is they arnt easy to get hold hold of, they need to be ordered and then a 2 or 3 day wait until delivered... i was wondering if any you lads have found a good alternitive that is easily accessable to the netmaker??
