  1. no not really mate but if you get a rabbit sitting tight at say 20-30 yrds a aim for the bottom of the head ie jaw line ive never been one for body shots dont like it and its not fair on the rabbit if you miss and just laim them nothing worse to see it hobble away atb mark

My hw77k is also a .22 never took much fancy to the 177 if you've got to much power or to close they DO go strait through with out killing which is a bummer cos some times you think you are missing but .22 is better for fur which I shoot at up to 50 and some times a little further depending on wind but like I said zero my scope in to 40 yrds and iam happy atb mark
  3. I can get good grouping with my 77 k at 50yrds just set my sights for 40 yrds and get the feel for the rest after a few shots atb mark
  4. I've turd away from some shots thinking the worst ' must be getting soft with old age but if no one made mistakes what kind of world would we live in

Just make sure he/she is ferret friendly first then the rest will come natural mate, My young bitch Molly she is 15 month now has just had her first hunting season and she is working really well at marking sets and running hedges and so on with no training at all apart from been with the ferrets at home as often as possible at least once a day hope this helps mate atb mark

  7. Well I had a look out with my 22 Exocet and was nocking rabbits down at over 50 yards easy, I believe in 177 for feather 22 for furr

  9. as above all are .22 and have scopes and gun slips the xocet is a craking gun iam using it at the moment and just fitted titan spring and has 6x40 scope and a sling fitted. the meteor is good starter gun but showing its age comes with 4x32 and gun slip. smk 12 is a nice little ratter also with 4x32 and gun slip same again few marks and the silencer is missing . i am after a HW95k .22 not .177. preferd with scope & silencer slip not to botherd about apperence ie scratchers rusty barrel but nothing bent or STOLEN.   11. No recall so sights should not be jumping' try some more sights if its the same , barrel could be bent or if they ok the sights could be broken

I've been looking for a silencer but don't seam to find any nor the upgrade ram what do you find to be the best pellets for the xocet and what would you consider to be a out of range shot 40 - 50 yards or more ? This gun is holding its own at 11.3ft/lb and hoping to put down fur&fether at upto 40yrds atb mark
  14. evening all ive been getting myself a webley xoset .22 with 4x32 scope its as good as new with very little use. the stock is mint and the metal work is as new . its still got the open sights on allso. have any outher members had or got one ? and whats the best silencer and spring upgade to get ive got bigger scopes on order so any help and tips would be a real help. iam no newby to guns ive had them all my life iam a big fan of the HW but never a webley so i am a bit lost with upgrads ATB mark

Evening all i'am going to try long netting at night for the first time Saturday night I know the land very well as its where I go ferreting and know the runs the rabbits take pretty well I am after a little help as where to start as in best time to go ,conditions , wether, wind ,moon and so on . The land owner is keen for me to go Saturday and I don't want to let him down or loose the permission for lack of working .the ferrets had there last outing on Sunday had my first baby rabbits so that was my last So any tips would be really helpfully taking on bored ATB mark

Hi all Is there any ferreters in co Durham that have good working polecat hobs for stud my two gills are in seson and I wanting to breed of them both I need two hobs as I'am wanting different blood lines for them They will be well cared for over at mine could really do with them over night just too be sure they caught I can pick up and drop off or you could come and make sure for your self that they in good hands They will not be leaving my hutch at any point or off working you have my word on this So if any one is intersted pm your number so we can agree on things ATB mark
