  1. Try feeding him some treats so he gets used to you putting your hand towards him he will start to gain your trust be patient with him and don't snatch at him sounds like he been miss treated in the past
  2. Thanks every one. Well it was a poor day every thing was water logged 1st set rabbit dug in so it was a dig of 2 1/2 ft under a tree my ferrets were grafing well and our Molly my jack russel was showing no interest at all to the sets , I thought it was her playing up after her op 3 weeks ago ? But I was wrong next set in like a bullet true she was 2 bunnys and that was it for the day as with just me and my lad the big sets 20+ hols was a no go .   3. taking my son out with the ferrets today (1hr 1/2 ) for his big day even thoug it was last wedensday he was 12 on the 12-12-2012 any way he is really up for it today as its just me and him,to be honest iam too just learnd how to make nets and have 3 ready to try out , and with not been on my land for nearly 4weeks things are looking gooooood or so the land owner was saying when i rang him , they all over lad loads ( hope we dont blank lol).well time to get ready. good look to every one who is out today and even more to andy kelly who is out with rabbitcatcher1 all the best mate sorry i coul
  4. My jack Russell is still learning the ropes but she never let's me down every mark she has made has given me bunnys but she keeps knocking the nets off when she can here them thumping when the ferrets are working but she is getting better

  7. YouTube mate search purse nets there is a full 40 min how to and very easy to follow I've just made my first net took me 3 hrs but well worth it

  11. I was invited out for a Sundays ferreting with Adam and his 2 nephews and his son. The day started a little slow with a very hard frost , his plan was to run the hedgrows bottom to top netting well in front so we were working the ferrets all the time , started very slow but soon had one in the bag then one slip the net but moss his lurcher took care of it but the ground was so hard it was hurting her feet .   12. i got a good worker of you for free mate lol anyway mine play bite the hell out of me and my dog they jump on her back grab her legs but they have never ever drew blood i beleave that if you lookafter and spend time playing with them at home then they will work to there best when you have them out,ive got 20ft of black 4" pipe in my garden they play in and good training for them
  13. thats right mate, in the warmer days of winter they sit out all day under cover enjoying the sun but now mr frosty is here they tend to burrow up in numbers through the day to keep warm and feed more on a night when under cover of darkness ps all women are right if you want a happy life
  14. it was bloody frezzing mate our callum was saying how cold his hands were so made him some gloves gutted two rabbits and said her son put them on so he did haaaaaa well that just warmed us up laghing but its hard for the kids standing stairing at a hole hoping a buny jumps out wher iam like a head less chicken lol

  17. taking my 2 young jills out today going to try the headge rows on the camp site as its closed for rest of the year and i can at last get to a open set of around 25 holes ( I HOPE ) lets hope the dog and poalcats are up for it as much as me LOL full report with pics later !!!

  19. good watching but really would you take half the town for 9 or 10 bunnys that the dogs have mauld to bits +200 nets +long net,s ive never heard of a group so big going hunting well apart fox fox hunting ? am i being harsh or any one feel the same PS things like this could and will one day get ferreting band like fox hunting agree with me or not but sorry chaps thats thats my view
