if you are going to try and put bait down i wouldnt shoot for a week just keep put it down when dark then go home if it not that far to travel.this time of year is best for baiting when its dark early cause you dont get crows and buzzards takein ya bait.

if you say its lit by lights where you shoot try using bait to draw them in and climb nearest tree and wait or get highseat set up and nail them that way.

wind direction and is the fox seeing you.once the fox as picked up human scent or seen you and you have been calling it next time it will avoid the call they dont forget.

gem i had a vitara 1.6 16v and towed landrovers out of boggy holes on 4x4 track days.great fun by the way .but if you thinkin horse boxs or owt longish distance id go for the 20 diesel.
