  4. If thats the sort of size they make it would be ok was after sommat under 20" ideally but whats an inch here or there (as I say to my mrs haha) id be happy with any of these really. If anyone knows of any pups around please pm me details. Cheers
  5. Nice pics lads I like the look of both types. Il have to avoid greyhound blood as the motor aint got room for a bigger type as well as my terrier boxes etc.
  6. Cheers for the response lads, seems 3/4 is going to be my best bet. Ive a bit of a mixture of land to go at not really huge fields on my permission and some rough moorland near my house. Id appreciate some pics of different types anyone has.
  7. As the title says im thinking of getting either a first cross beddy/whip or 3/4, not done much with lurchers to be honest, so a bit of advice wouldnt go amiss. Im after doing a bit of mooching and lamping mainly. Want sommat small as space is an issue as ive got terriers as well. Cheers
  8. From the bits ive seen about Irish terriers there supposed to be b*****ds for fighting other dogs mate. I know a few have said it but imho spaniels are made for the job pal. Atb
  9. The first dog I had (beagle x terrier x heinz 57) when I was 10 was a b*****d for running off every cat, squirrel, even bloody birds in flight hed be gone over even our tallest fence 6ft + and if I was lucky id find him, but mostly a day or so later hed turn up miles away covered in shite. Many a sleepless night worrying if id see the bugger again
  10. My next "investment" is going to be a new b & f.....oh and a lamp too. Looks like my lady wont be getting that holiday this summer haha
  11. Hi lads, as the title suggests ive dug out my old BSA supersport, had it about 8 or 9 years. Any suggestions on a suitable replacement? Im not after spending a great deal of money.
  12. I would say even two young ones can be too much but it definitely depends on youre experience level pal, I personally would get those patts sorted before bringing another pup into the mix. All the best
  13. Haha I am really hoping that too corkyjohn, listen im being genuine now no one knows how itl grow up to be. Its a pup just enjoy it. If you look after it youl have some good fun with it, it doesnt matter what it ends up looking as long as its got a bit of brain and heart itl be a good dog for you. Best of luck with it
  14. Please please no more just leave it, in the name of god just stop
  15. Just on the subject of breeds being altered in seach of looks, my grandad used to keep bullmastifs ive got a picture somwhere at home and the difference between his dogs in photo and those of today is massive. The muzzle is about twice the length for starters il have a look for the pic its from the 40s my old man said they were formidable to say the least.
  16. Good pics and info there p3d, its mad how much breeds have changed since kc type breeders got hold of em, and totally f*****g ruined em imo.
