  3. Read an obsession the nick stevens story and liked it more than the other terrier books id read by Shaun Frain
  4. A mate told me I should read it is it worth my while??
  5. Looks the spit of one of my lakie pups
  6. Great pics pal, like the jacket on that pup atb
  7. No coldweld i didnt mean only that sort as far as im concerned work is work. And yes morton i agree with you totally, i read something the other day about breeding that sums it up a lot better than i could "form should always follow function"
  8. Perhaps i did write that in the wrong way, and ive never tried to make out im an experienced terrierman,im just interested in learning more and i do put my money in when i go, i dont go in for rosettes. Unlike the folk putting there pure bred dogs in cross bred classes which i dont think isnt in the spirit of the ones ive been to anyway.
  9. Ive seen that a few times chilli. I think its just me being picky things like when a judge spans em and would need another pair of hands to fit all the way round and still puts em in top 3 haha.
  10. I know dezzy, I wasnt trying to knock the whole idea of em i know people put a lot of work in for not a lot in return in the small shows i take my hat off to them. I must just be in a bad mood today haha
  11. Right lads ive got question, i'll start by saying that I know a lot of you really cant be doing with the showing side of things and to be fair im neither for or against it. Ive been to a show today which I wont name as I dont want to upset anyone, im no expert but even I can spot the dogs that actually work from ones that dont. Perhaps ive got it all wrong but most of the lakelands ive seen at the various shows seem to be so exadurated shape wise they must 40%-50% kc lines. Whats youre views on this boys??
  12. Id go with what coonboy said £150 looks solid, as long as parents work id defo have a punt on it lad.
  13. Cheers gkeeper 111, much appreciated mate
  14. Ta natnewby, i will put a pic on soon of him as he is now parsley.
  15. Ive had people say that to me before saho, he was bred out of a one of my mrs dads bitches.
  16. Id go for a patterdale or a lakeland personally both are good alrounders. Ive never had a plummer but ive heard they struggle to go to ground, they were bred as a ratting dog so would be sound for there main quarry. Though im sure a good russell would do the buisness for ya. Good luck with youre purchase.
  17. Cheers lads, hes starting to show interest so fingers crossed hel be decent.
