  8. i also forgot to mention that bobwhites would make excelent quarey for sparrowhawks and small falcons as they fly realy well , not to be confused with coturnix quail ;fat lazy and useless

  10. this year i am putting some bobwhite's down instead of partridges and also using them as dog training aids , the reason being that they are far easier to mannage and the returns are by far better than redlegs or greys could ever be hoped for i will have surplus birds if anyone is interested ;ie ,day olds and growers according to to how i understand the wildlife and countryside act i dont think i will be in contravention of any laws because these birds can be recalled to there pens anyway has anybody else used bobwhite quail or any of the other american quail species ? and after last years p

  14. it has been a bad season for everything including duck , i gave up on partridges years ago as i got sick of feeding fecking sparrowhawks on my birds next season i am having a go with bobwhites again at least they recall to the sheds and the returns are much better

  16. in the trough of bowland harrier nests were monitored , and eagle owls were helping themselves to the harrier chicks , of course gamekeepers got the blame untill it was proven that eagle owls was the culprits ,................... no appologie was given to the keepers though since then the RSPB has had its filthy hands in the discreet removal of eagle owls saying they are "non native",.............................FFS where are these sea egles , red kites ,and even beavers comming from ?????? eagle owls aint trendy for taking harrier chicks lmfao
