I have a 17 foot Yorkshire cobble with a yanmar inboard diesel and cooled with a jabsco pump , the pump had a new impeller fitted two years ago and only run for two hours after being fitted anyway I used the boat last week thinking everything was A1 but the engine over heated ! , I have also heard that pumps left in storage should be lubricated when not in use but what do you lubricate with ? also has anyone an idea how I can make a filter , inline or whatever ? thanks
