Bill sold his stock to a Mr. Cookland so they are now known as Cookland deerhounds mate , I've still got some Doxhope in my deer/greys though Aha, thanks Bear. Yes, got a wee bit in my dog Oscar, his sire was doxhope bred. All the best.

Cookland?? Educate me. I've heard a bit about Bill Doherty, seems a credible and respected breeder of working deerhounds. ?

Apparently they are closer related to cats than they are dogs minty

I bought this lamp new last September, it hasn't been used a lot. Given the occasional charge to keep the battery in good nick. Good as new. Pm for anymore info, thanks. £60.00 (postage not included) Edited to add I would swap for a pair of seeland thornhill trousers or deerhunter smallville.

Free Info on soapy

You need to get a decent jacket! lol Haha I'll get a decent jacket when I get a proven dog! Jokes aside, thornhill is a good range. -
I'm sure the man needs no recommending, but just to say I had a deal with soapy on a jacket, despite an initional mess up on my behalf regarding payment, the jacket came to me the day after payment, item was as described. He was pleasure to deal with.

At last! The "distance" card is legitimate! All the best with your plans Athene.

No bother, information gathered. How much for the thornhill on its own?? Posted. Thanks

Hi Soapy. I was looking at getting deerhunter smallville kit. How does the thornhill range compare? I got the money for a new kit. Thanks

Feck off and mind my own business? Why don't you try taking your own advice fella. "on the other hand he's contributing to the buy, sell or swap section"... We don't need people contributing to this section. If all someone has to offer the forum is items for sale then there are plenty of sales websites out there. Gaz Hmmm "we don't need people contributing to this section" well we wouldn't have this section if they didn't!Like I said, its no skin off anyone's nose now Gaz is it. Have a good evening -

all he,s doin is using the site for financial gain..nothing else just that..its a hunting site not the fcukin free ads mate..folk have been banned for less and good folk at that..also if the truth is really known there aint a shred of punch in that dogs breeding either..good day to you..atb stabba stabba, I respect your view, it's a fair point. I personally don't see the harm in it, but there you are, it'd be a boring forum if we all had the same view! All the best gov. As for crosby, if you're selling a lurcher, lamp and battery, there's a good chance you're in to a spot of hunting, or po -
Personally, for me I wouldn't be quick on giving up on the dog, it can be sorted. Strange why he did, there could be a number of reasons. One of my dogs is doing some things that is testing my patience at the minute, things he certainly wouldn't be doing if he was running three days a week, which he was in season. Remedy, a good lashing when he did it, certainly warranted. My father use to talk about putting a sheep killer in an enclosure with a ram?!? He said it cured his best dog, who was a serial sheep killer. If all else fails!?! All the best, let us know how you get on.

If the man is using the forum solely for the purpose of buying/selling, yes on one hand he's using the website for his own means only, but on the other hand he's contributing to the buy, sell or swap section with maybe a good dog and possibly a good deal on a lamp and battery ? Those of you who aren't mods, feck off and mind your own business, it's no skin off your noses. ATB, enjoy the summer, I'm looking forward to September/October! -
Free Nim: Airedale lurcher needs new home
*The*Field*Marshall* replied to skycat's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
I actually quite like the thought behind the breeding skycat, the leggiest of terriers that is the Airedale with its formidible temperament and many attributes, crossed to the speed and stamina of Saluki/Grey, great concept. With such contrast in breeding, I guess you'll always run the risk of having at least one of the litter being a little, disproportionate, but it has paid diffidence in two strong and racy looking bitches, very nice indeed. All the best. -

That resembles something like a dingo to me! Not my type, but a handsome looking dog nonetheless. No doubt he'll go to good and deserving home. -
I've owned the mix, in various forms. Sounds ideal for yourself Athene. If you have one from a pup and put the right training in you will have no problem with ferretts (although the same is true of most lurchers owned from a pup) some will say the collie x are the ideal ferreting companion. For what you want, maybe a collie/grey x whippet ? All the best

Bushing dogs/ Lurchers little helper
*The*Field*Marshall* replied to NEHunter's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
For me, having a lurcher without a terrier is like having Batman without Robin! Generally, yes, they are harder work than their leggier counter part, but for me, worth the effort if you have the time and room. All the best -
Nice looking sire and dam. Those pups will make very good dogs in the right hands. All the best

Thanks chaps, for the informative and humourous replies! Well, all said and done, he's gotta pay in the region of 350 pounds vets fees for his lapse in concentration! *the cat was X-rayed before it kicked the bucket. Ps I've got no time for cats, but don't like the thought of a family pet being killed and the upset it could cause. Thanks again.
