    its getting hard to get good working deerhound stock.. theres not much choice in the uk , i bought mine from alan charles here in ireland , he regulary works them to r/h/f , working stock is getting harder to source, and i find matings where the greyhound to the deerhound bitch tends to keep the size down a bit ,instead of some of the large plodding specimins you see.. but theres a few good ones over here in ireland

    my first 2 lurchers were dumped by poachers in very early ,s a dhxgh and a beddy greyhound the beddy x ,just wanted to kill any other male dog and was terribly hard mouthed ,but the deerhound x was probably one of the best dogs i have owned . so its well worth considering one of these places as you can get some good dogs from them, i dont know how owners can just dump them ..? makes my piss boil also..!! theres a couple of nice dogs in there i like the black bitch ,if only i had the work and room

    wanted ferreting permission west cork (skibb area) new to area so i thought id try on here before i cold call a few of the farmers if anyone could point me in the right direction..? or know anywhere local to me, would appreciate it. 30 years experiance ,all the gear etc, and well trained dog .
