    Wheatens have been cross bred alot more than people think, this happend alot during the 70s with trial dogs so the pure wheatens may not be as pure as you think, the peds for alot of these dogs where writen by there breeders who may not have been liers but just missinformed when geting a stud dog or new stock into there yard. So the dogs around today may look like pure wheatens but there is glen,apbt,staff,ebt ect way back in the lines. So its nothing new to cross them its been done for years with strong dogs and lurchers, as far as useing them in earthdog breeding i dont see the point there a

    some good info here bolio1 as far as i know lance was by the handy dog not to sure was there a dog called jacko from this litter.

    some dogs are bred to look like terriers, and some to work like terriers.

    yes a terrier is a dog that works under the ground, it takes alot of gameness and a dog that wont back away, the ones that cant do the job just dont have the balls there are plenty of dogs that work hard on the sod but the real test is underground jmho.

    do you use bells on your ferret, i have allways used them less chance of the ferret geting a kill because the rabbits hear ferret comeing.

    try feeding them pigs feet if they dont put on weight then there is something wrong with them.

    good to hear you got the terrier, but you want to be carefull climbing into holes yourself you dont want to end up buirred with the dog.
