  1. fooled me :laugh: and took his pic down fairly quick, the dog did look a bit on the big side for a half wheaten.
  2. hes only 12 months old he will cop on and start catchin in cover when hes ready, without a lamp.
  3. the cows are real bad in that place do their best to kill terriers, think they have a dose of mad cow dissese :laugh:
  4. thats good to hear tinytiger shes a crackin terrier hope she keeps goin well for you, my own pups are like chalk and chesse one mad for bushin and the other mad for holes.
  5. so far so good jay have her sister aswell shes a bit behind because she was in heat and missed a few hunts
  6. went out thismornin with l330 for a look around a fairly big farm that we done well on last year , most holes were dead or flooded eventualy the dogs got wind of a fox l330s black n tan went to ground and before we got set up a big fox bolted, the old lurcher just missed him as he had his eye on another live hole and charlie took the back door, my pup ran the earth after and travelled the lot her first time to go to ground so i was happy with her , heres a few pics.

  8. the biggest fox i ever dug was in one of the smallest holes, we taught the dog was markin a rabbit at first, you would be suprised what they can get up.
  9. As an old poacher once told me bulljack,do it but dont be caught,lol. if you sliped on one of them lads it could take the dogs anywhere, can see it now in the middle of the main road big screamin pig and a load a terriers hangin on

How often do we hear of a dog that is infected with TB,not very often at all but how many badgers have been needlessly snared and killed in the name of TB.Its a dispute that has gone on for years and will go on for years more to see is the badger the real culprit.Deer will spread it as quick as any badger and vets moving from farm to farm will do the same.I actually know a farmer that got the DEP in to snare his land as he had gone down with TB and any badger they snared was sent away and tested,no TB in any of themand the snaring was done on every set within a mile of where his cows were past

  15. hard to beat the collie x for this kind of work brains speed agile and most have a good winter coat.
  16. good read lads anyone know what the current laws are regarding hunting boar with dogs in ireland, just incase i come across one on my travels.
  17. sounds like an ideal cross for a catch dog , the full wheaten would lack in speed but could be a handy back up dog , that big arab cross looks like he dont need to much back up lol .
