    I have problems with my pup doing the same thing..................if you are running it with another dog its likely to be a possession related problem................from recallection your pup is still quite young as is mine....... Use a dummy witha rabbot pelt on it attached to a retractable lead to re-inforce the retreiving........... It could just be excitement...........if the dog has been retrieving then its in the grey matter some where!!..just needs reinforcing....legging it with its catch is something you need to jump on, as it takes some shifting. My pup never retrieved.

    my dogs have a 14 x 10 brick garage full of straw, bed boxes etc with permenant access to a 10 x 6 run..... Were out from 6 - 8 am every morning and an hour at night - sometimes longer if we are hunting. The rest of the time they are in the garage / run......and they are happy.....do not bark, and are extremely well behaved dogs

    As long as there is warm, and dry sheltered area...theres no reason why they cant go out straight away....mine were out at weeks

    I completlely agree................................. if you are on to a good thing..why spoil it??? there are loads of keen lads oput there that struggler to gain permission.....for reasons like the one you mention. Dont cock it up for yourself or others by being daft... .....................not only that.....it isnt at all sporting....and if you get caught..your likely to get the shoeing of your life

    I'm just reviving an old thread I enjoyed............. Lets see photos of your working lurchers....dosn't matter how they are bred.......or how old they are.....just a brief discription of what they are.
