  1. lol bud i think i would save the 40 mile round trip and get some practice in mate theres not one peron that cant do the same shooting bud with practice
  2. Bsa all the way bud my lad uses a meteor he is 12 and he split a playing card at about 25 yards not so long ago thats how accurate they are fantastic little rifle
  3. hi tony no my lad was usiing his meteor with rws hobbys and me my scirocco with the crossmans i put his rws in my gun and the grouping improved imedialty but as for the crossmans i now feel they are just a waist of money for me but wil test them in my Rap 7 its real funny but the crossmans seem to have no weight to them at all and the rws do but i am a believer in not all guns like the same pellets and some like others more like secretmole says
  4. Hi Tron bud do you find the crossmans to be very light i was amazed at how short they are too so its not just me that finds them inaccurate im glad i thought it might be my shooting lol how are those premiers Niel ????
  5. Hi guys and girls just wanted to ask if any one actually likes the crossman domed pellets that come in a screw on lided tin. the reason i ask is i have just used them tonight in 22 and i was seriously disapointed with them. I used them in my Theoben Scirroco and they was absolutly useless not an accurate shot at all from any of them at first they seemd to be a good quality pellet which fitted nice in the barrel good start i thought then upon fireing a few rounds they seemed to be very inaccurate so i gave them the benefit of the doubt and kept on using them i also found they would change
  6. Hi can any one help please does any one know of any Air rifle Training courses that will enable me, to be able to use air rifles with other people such as IE Scouts Cubs and young children etc It has to be a nationaly reconised course with certification THAT PROVES the safe use of Air rifles and there safety around others. A course that will give me the certification for legal entitlements to show others the safe use of the Air rifle If ANY one can help or knows of any courses then please can you let me know Thank you Regards Openseason
  7. ive heard they are pretty naff too they look nice but not too good in the field and pretty unreliable i have heard some of the parts break but not sure which ones
  8. I Agree guys he must of, may be had a dogy ram or as you say the quality is not as good as the old ones bit suprised really i would always give the rams a big thumbs up
  9. Hell mate how come your gas ram didint last long bud thats bad news i had one that lasted me literaly years and used daily leaving it cocked for a good while out in the field
  10. i agree lads doesnt it make you feel better in knowing you have covered your self with the plod and if they ring to know its not you thats been seen waving your gun around your head next to joe public. just make shooting easier for our selfs, and cover our backs in any situation. wish i did that before they called the armed respons unit but back then i never ever had to inform the plod as it was a natural thing for us to go shooting and not bother any one by it. but i did after that all time. contacted all involved
  11. thanks bud for the airgun info i will look into them The camping trip looks bloody good to me
  12. just read a lot of the posts for this bloody hell i thought there is some things on here that makes me back up almost all the posts lets face it guys a responsible shooter would as you say cover the gun for there own protection from the plod and out of repect for the non shooters in our society that are itching to stop guns all together so a person with common sense would no matter what cover the gun. i know a lad who had all his guns removed due to one of his guns being uncovered as he walked from house to car it was spotted by the joe public and that was it. As for the plod and there big

  16. hi i was thinking of getting a 12ft lbs .25 cal airgun. What are they Like ?? what range can you shoot them too ?? or are they just not that good i was thinking of close range rabbits and rats to 20 - 25 yards would this calibre be okay at these ranges ?? cheers openseason
  17. thanks atomlab thats brilliant bud cheers for that openseason
  18. Hi can some one point me in the right direction please for some sort of diagram or strip down diagram for me Hatsan 60s ive looked all over the internet but just cant find f-----k all any one know of any sites that show you the diagrams i might have missed one i would be greatfull thanks Openseason
  19. hi bud my lads meteor is only pushing 5ftlbs and it waks the pellets out at 20 yards with ease 25 yards hes knocking metal tagets down but not enough power to stand the targets back up, i would say safe bet is around 20 yards to 25, bud not forgetting you need a well placed head shot any way, i always think lower power not worth risking any long range shots over 20 yards for live quarry but thats my opinion bud.
  20. Hi guys thanks for the great comments my lad will be well chuffed i see him tomoro night so will show him the post, Davyt thats fantastic bud i would love the trophy for him if you really dont mind and if no one else minds he wil be absolutly well pleased and over the moon i will pm my address if thats okay bud. i was actually talking to him about the next meet the other day so will see what happens thanks guys openseason

  22. The pictures you see are of a brilliant shot at a playing card edge on. The fantasic thing is this shot was taken at 25 yards at the club we go to.the shot was taken by my 12 year old son with his BSA Meteor 22 scoped with a AOP 3-9X 40 I think it is using RWS Superfield pellets and from a kneeling position. I am absolutly so proud of my lad and his shooting.he shot this with his second shot, as you can see the first shot skimmed the card leaving a slight mark near the no 2 We was at the club and a few lads was shooting the cards with there pcps my lad said can i have a card dad pleas
  23. ive got the hatsan 60s bud and i tested how loud it was down range about 30 yards and it was not bad at all i was supprised how quiet it was with out a silencer and rabbit router is right these are a cracking rifle for the money didint know you could get tune kit tho will look into it for mine but fab little gun for the cash openseason
