  1. Coldweld, show your lad a Plummer and see what he thinks of them, they,v got very good nose,s on them for terriers, mine was tracking Hares from about 5 month, i think you,d find them usefull, ATB, buster.

  4. If as i suspect its a Plummer X it,ll have a good nose on it, be usefull for work on top, i know some Plummers can reach 15 inch TTS, whats it like workwise Blacknight, have you had it long, regards, buster.

Just bought a pair of brand new Lowa GTX combat boots off a guy on here, £75 posted, thats around half price, dont know what they will be like long term but construction wise they are top notch, nice and high, thick leather, Gortex, Vibram soles etc, i,d be happy to pay full price for these, definately worth considering IMO, ATB, buster.

  7. If its just for bushing then i,d look into some of the Spanial X terriers that some of the lads on here use, ATB, buster.
  8. Using 1 dog tends to lead to the bunnys giving the dog the runaround, i,v heard of lads useing little packs of good terriers catching a dozen rabbits with no running dog involved but as WM says, better 1 good un than aload of shite. sils23, what are you thinking of useing , ATB, buster.

  10. is it the blue round nose one had mine three months the head shattered when i hit a boulder bulldog are more expensive but alot tougher imo cant go wrong with them Yes mate its the Blue one with the forged head, or it was, its now black, take it back, i believe Silverline gear is coverd for life. I,ve welded a tube across the top of the blade on mine as a foot plate, bloody heavy thing to carry about though.

Just bought a SilverLine Round nose,d spade from Toolstation for ratting, forged blade and steel shaft,d for less than £20, i,ve sharpend the edge with the grinder and it cuts through roots like a good un, it could be cut and jointed as it as the steel shaft, worth a look IMO. regards, buster..

Pair of size 9 BNIB with labels TF Gear Extreme Hunting/Fishing Boots, the box is damaged [dog chewed one corner] but not the boots, they are £50 posted on ebay, i want £30 posted or pick up [iam in Doncaster] for £20, I,ve drop,d the price, cant believe these havent sold, they arent top notch boots but i,ve got another pair and they are very comfy, cheers, buster.

Anyone useing these High GTX Keep dry boots, if so would you recomend them or not, theres some on ebay and they are £150 odd with direct payment, they seem to have all the usual stuff on them that you get with the £200 plus boots, ie, Gortex lined, Vibram sole, just wonderd if they were upto the job, any addvice would be welcome, cheers, buster.
  15. Look for the place the rabbits are most likely to bolt too. either the next brambles or a set, and stand with your running dog so he can see the rabbits bolt, he,ll soon learn to let the Plummer do the graft, what do you think of the Plummer as a bushing dog, i think they,r great

Well i thought it might be interesting to read other peoples opinions on what you should feed a pup [always looking to learn] but its just another thred spoilt by petty bickering and the i know more about dogs than you brigade, for what its worth, whatever you use as your main feed, i feed a scambled egg in the morning every other day alternated by rice pudding, a tin of pud does approx 4 days for a terrier, i,v fed it to lurchers as well over the years and they,v been fine too, obviously if it gives them the trots stop feeding it, never had a dog that knows the difference between cows milk an
