    i agree, thats done the trick, iv been told of a guy selling the longnet baskets inc p+p £29 so thinking of getting one myself, if i tried making one i know it wouldnt look nout like yours, thats pretty good though atb with it mate,, let us know how you get on!

    if it takes 2 batteries its a mk1 15ft if it takes 1 battery its an 8ft mk1 collar,for the 8ft i know its ag 12 ag 13 both work, not sure if its the same with the 15ft collars ? someone who knows about the 15ft collars should be on tonight,

    thanks theres some good sugestions there, if im honest i found condensation in there sleeping quarters the otherday ,ill have to make more velalation. the reason im asking about keeping them warm is, when the temprature is down to minus 5 ect and the snow is deep (absolutly freezing cold) the water bottles are frozen solid, and the wind is howling , i used to put more bedding in for them and put old curtains/blankets over the hutch to keep the warmth in, i have 2 albino jills, and they curl up together and keep eachother warm, so i guess the advice iv had is to put extra bedding in ( venta

    hi guys, iv got my ferrets in a cage in a 5ft plastic shed type thing,in theyr sleeping quarters theyr bedding includes shavings at the bottom,loads of hay and old clothes ect but am worried when the frost and snow comes it wont be warm enough, i want to insuate the shed or the hutch, apart from one of those silver blanket things that keeps them cool in the summer and warm in the winter, does anybody have any ideas of how i can insuate my ferret cage and shed and keep them warm through the winter months? thanks in advance. fts

    i cant belive what iv just read on this thread airgunguy you said that you left your ferret behind already this season,now your talking about muzzleing a ferret what if you loose your ferret again and its got a muzzel on,or like already been said if the ferret gets stuck its not going to be able to eat or drink untill it gets retrieved,please take the advise that you have been offerd (for the ferrets sake) !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    i would say the barn owl or the tawny owl ! nice pics though, love seeing owls in the night ,its not easy to get a good pic of a wild owl,would love to see some. atb fts

    i had my bike stolen from my back garden 2 days ago,litrally 2 yrds from my ferrets,im not really botherd about the bike just glad my ferrets are ok and still here, iv bought cctv now ,as would love to see the feckers faces!!!!!...... but sorry to hear about them ferret thefts ,nothing but scum , its a matter of time before theyr caught, fts

    i use alpha ferret feast and i dont have no problems with it, and you can always learn somthing off the guys off here, i used to feed mine on liver meat and dog food untill a guy on here suggested i swapped to alpha, it doesnt attract flies in the summer its got nutrition and filling so it does me fine now, the pet shop owner even does me a mix of 3 alpha,jwb,and vitalin the ferrets love it ! fts

    i cant get used to the mk3, iv got my mk1 and iv just bought 2 x 25yrd longnets so am throwing the 2 shorter longnets in with this mk3, iv bought loads of kit over the past few months, i managed to get a bit of perm but could do with some more,and have just saved for a run around so am looking out for that at the moment,ill be able to go futher afield for the rest of the season,so nope not giving up just selling this to put towards my insurance. how about you mate you bin out latly? pm me ,cheers mate atb fts
