again first of all it was the high cover, now the weather, iv been out twice since 23rd december and got absolutly soaked both times,it gets uncomfortable walking about after a while and sorta spoils it a bit,then you get home and aswel as showering,youv got the gutting to do,then all your gear has to be dried out,,,cant wait for some dry weather,or even a bit of snow would be better, anyone know when this rain is gonna die off for a couple days?

250-300 a day seems a bit too many to me, thatl make 2000 hares a week being shot? whats that a year? fooking loads, i wouldnt belive those stats

im out of work at the mo, but still have to pay £21 every 2 weeks along with rent , top up, gas, elecy,car, food ect ect ect, so will be watching this to see what others do, they have sent a letter though saying i am £12 behind and unless i pay, i will have to pay the yearly bill in one go, otherwise they will cut off my water, a bit extreem in it,

iv netted 16 - 17 holers and missed litrally the 1 hole and 9 times out of ten the rabbit will bolt out of the un netted hole garanteed, its fecking frustrating,especailly when its been hard going netting through brambles ect and really arkward holes, but thats really kind of you c,j a true gent atb fts

if its big sets and your only using the 1 ferret,and the rabbits aint bolting, just enter another 1, preferably the same sex as the 1 thats down already,as if a kill does occure,the ferret with the collar on will more than likly join the other one long enough for you to get a fix on the location, thats what i do anyway,and iv never had no trouble, atb mate fts

yep the mk1 is a square grey box, and those collars 1 is an 8ft and the other is a 15ft if the mk1 is only 8ft obviously the 15ft collar will only work to 8ft, but iv seen a mk 2, its the same shape as the mk3 but no where near as good as the mk1 or mk3.

i was out again 2 days ago,and on the way back to the car still looking for the dogs mark,we come accross a rabbit warren,i knew of this set already as i tried doing it back 6 weeks ago,but the cover was too high,plus its deep aswel,so i thought id try it,the dog marked,an i started netting up,just as i was about to lay the 3rd net i noticed some dogs shit down the hole,so just to check i got a stick poked it in it lol and had a smell, it was old charlies shit, so up came the nets,just incase,,, my terrier 3/4 lakeland 1/4 russel isnt hardend enough for fox,iv had her since she was 3 year

i know this topic has come up a few times, but after this years boxing day, news papers ect does anyone actually think it will EVER get overturned? in todays daily mirror it said that 76% of mp's are against deer hare and fox hunting with dogs and 24% would vote for an over turn,and apparantly 3 out of 4 british citizens are against fox hunting with dogs as it cruilty and belongs in the past.ffs even the prime minister wants a vote to over turn it, but as it stands there is'nt enough mp's in our favour. iv been keeping an eye on this for a few years, it frustrates me as 99% of the people ag

How's everyones ferrets coping in the weather

i put wood shavings on the bottom of theyr sleeping quarters,then loads of hay,and the odd old tee-shirt or top of some kind, i use wood shavings for theyr muck part, i read something the other week it said to mix coffee mate with sugar a little hot water to mix it, then an egg york and milk,put that in a water bottle and it helps to keep the weight on them throughout the winter,once or twice a week i give it to mine and they love it, they cant get enough of it,i have them in for atleast an hour a day, the one jill iv got used to nip quite hard drawing blood alot of the time but since iv had -

i was out ferreting a few weeks ago and the dog marked a rabbit set i netted up and entered the ferret after a minute or two she came running out and didnt stop for about 20-30 yrds,and wouldnt go back in ,i entered my other jill but she came back to the entrance of the rabbit hole hissing and let off her stink,iv never seen this happen before,,then last week i was in the same area about half a mile from where that happened and my terrier was chasing a rabbit down an hedge row the rabbit dissapeared down in the corner of the hedge row,i had a look and again the dog was marking a rabbit set of
