  1. i gave you advice yet because it doesnt suit you, you have ignored it
  2. 16 mnths may be the right age for some but may not have been the right age for yours and as hes yapping i would say you havent got him fit enough or he was entered to early
  3. this topic was started because a few young lads on the poachers pocket thread said they cant. well done lads, some lovely animals and good pics
  4. yapping ive found is normally a trait of bedlington crosses and chances are its to late. for the dog to yap its frustated which means either the dog wasnt fit, entered to young or being run on things it cant catch. ive seen it before when a dog that yapped was properly fit he would stop but as his energy wained he would start again
  5. put them in series and you have a 12 volt battery
  6. thanks tomo, alot of people on here would have given a shitty reply to that
  7. Can the mods not check that? I was thinking that. He's so contridactable. Tjanks for that johnny aswell.
  8. so is this now going to be a topic with people (johnny), a person looking at his posts a man that has and does alot trying to explain to kids that they have commercialised beddyxs that are not game but have tenacity? if so i think ill avoid this one
  9. right now i dont want a slagging match, just want to know who has seen colliexs take fox. no opinions required just a plain yes or no please yes
  10. collie grey better than a bedlington grey on teeth? hmmm phil haynes yes proper bred collie crosses out of hardy hill collies that where entered CORRECTLY.sorry to say ive never heard of the man it wont matter if its a border collie a fell collie a beardie collie or lassie the collie you wont get a consistant fox dog will you, agree, collie crosses were never bred for the even the thought of tackling anything that bites back hence why they baught in the terrier crosses you people are poorly informed if you honestly believe that
  11. collie grey better than a bedlington grey on teeth? hmmm phil haynes yes proper bred collie crosses out of hardy hill collies that where entered CORRECTLY.sorry to say ive never heard of the man
  12. personally id say you have seen either bad bullxgreyhounds and bad collie crosses because the bedlington crosses iv seen would never compare to either on foxes. you still havent answered who this 'phil' is
  13. wats up with the dogs mate? one knocked his toe up and the bitch ran into some barbed wire or something when she hit the hedge and the vet had to put 4 staples in her. the vet said 5-14 days and the staples can come out though
  14. can i ask, and please dont take this as an insult tomo, but do you shoot alot of bunnies?
  15. Well done lads, there's not enough young ones in the sport now. Well there is young ones but they seem to all be in it for the macho persoana and not for the joys of the actual hunt and they just don't seem to appreciate the values of the humble bunny. Well done and keep up the good work, your acting as good embassadors
  16. Mines been tiptop so far, the dogs are were going good but both are now slighty injured. A week off but with abit more exercise and hopefully they'll be back on
  17. I personally don't know what I would do or how I would deal with it but I would like to say that I have maximum respect for the parents that have the character to deal with the 'problems' on a day to day basis as part as normal life and don't allow it to affect them. People like you truelly are special characters and make you feel proud to be human
  18. If I knew I had 6months to live I would not tell anyone, say goodbye and dissapear so that they didn't have to see me go. Anyone who's lost anyone to such a thing as cancer will know how hard it is to see someone that they know will soon be gone. Now it may sound selfish but I seen my grandfather on his deathbed and actually said goodnight less then 12 hours prior to his passing. Now don't misinterpret this because I was pleased I was able to say goodbye but at the same time it was so hard
  19. Who is this 'phil' and what's so special? Your talking about bedlington/greyhounds right? Now from what I've seen the majority of this cross are a good allround lurcher but they are not the lurcher for a specialist hunter such as a daytime courser or a fox caller. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong but now adays people actually suggest them as a rabbiting dog, now that to me says that either the bedlingtons of today are not that of years gone by or there is not long enough lines of bedlington lurchers around
  20. Well it that case young man he must have something to prove if he wishes for an 18 (sorry if this age is wrong)year old to tell people on a forum how good his dogs are
  21. Ban I'm not trying to row with you but whether or not your proud of your dogs line or not its not your place to big up his dogs. Should HE wish to discuss his dogs on the hunting life then he should become a member. How would you feel if what your saying gets him into trouble?
  22. I don't know if my phone would allow me to write it down, I only have an old nokia
  23. I buy a diary each year and write it down, that's how I know my rough numbers
  24. I wouldn't jack, have never had a need to
