  1. Make yourself a ply box with just enough clearance over the top of a Mk 4, put a hole in each end and sprinkle liberally with nuts. Job done.
  2. Reminder her that catch and release of grey squirrel is illegal in UK.
  3. If you were closer I would have this off you in an instant.
  4. Are you actually charging for your services fella?
  5. You can never tell if the next one will be trap shy, as for if you let it go...? Why would you? What I would say it a bit like buses, there are sometimes a lot along just after each other. Anyhow, if you aren't going to be about then fair enough don't set the trap. If you do and it turns up empty, just move it to another location.
  6. Firstly why would you leave the fruit in there to be taken? Removing the food source would make them pay more attention to the traps! And try some chocolate spread.
  7. It's up to the person who applied the pesticide to get the paperwork right thereby avoiding liability. EDIT: Oh, if it comes down to just blocking up the holes, NEVER let the customer tell you they will do it!
  8. Advises the customer to have the comb removed within 24 hours of treating the nest or this might happen. I have a local builder that I use, and I provide a project managed service as well as just killing the bees, so that I am a part of the solution, up to signing off the work at the end when everything is put back in place. If they don't want to do that (because builders charge a lot and so do I) then all the entrances to the nest must be sealed up. I suspect that on this occasion they opted for the latter and when it went horribly wrong blamed the person who killed the bees. What you nee
  9. Don't cover the trap, put it up against the fence line but let him see it, it will just look like more wire and he won't be as wary. Covering them is a mistake in my opinion. Try different baits, I haven't found the fox yet who could resist left over roast beef from Sunday lunch.
  10. I had one very similar ages ago. Leave it for a while, maybe two or three weeks and then trap any new workings. You might try a trap line trap although I have had very little success with them.
  11. I don't know how you can make assumptions about the experience of the technician based on some honey running down the walls?? No doubt the customer told you one story, ask the person who did it yourself. They could have asked that the holes be blocked up and the honey left in situ, the cost of having it removed could have scared them off, it usually does... Now of course they are regretting it. It wasn't me by the way!
  12. If you do a search on the site this was discussed at length quite recently. Lots of different opinions! I have registered as a lower tier carrier and have an agreement with a company to collect my waste yearly for less than £100. They do the paperwork, job done.
  13. No. Full reporting, auto email reports to customers, scheduling that sort of thing.
  14. Somewhere in Stoke : "Councillor Joy Garner, the city council’s cabinet member for housing, neighbourhoods and community safety, said: 'Our environmental health team was alerted to the rat problem by Mr Walley on July 18, and a pest control officer went out on August 4 to investigate and deal with the problem. 'We contacted Mr Walley afterwards and he told us he was satisfied with the action we’d taken, but we’re going back next week for a routine follow-up check to make sure the problem has definitely been resolved."
