    Now dont take this as arguing mate, because if i'm honest i've not read all the posts. But if that dog gave up...did it jack or was it using its brain as it knew there was no chance of a catch. Every dog, in every situation and every use of a dog is different. Some dogs dont continue their run due to injury (so fair play, there's the reason), others stop the run due to intelligence and that'll give you a dog that can make another run for you and not totatally knackered.     Who are the large amount of people who abused hunting arctic? Is this really watt caused the ban? As long as I can remember they been trying to ban hunting for many years, saying it cruel, we all know it was just labour getting one back on the Tories, for them rubbing there nose in it by getting on horses after they elected and running round the countryside like they own it all,I can remember see in the Tories,rich fakers on horses laughing in there face,the yuppy side of hunting spoiled it not ye everyday Joe with his lurchers or moochers gettin out there through necessity, well said mate,

    dont worry about it mate 1 of my dogs had a bad breake at 6 month old ,and she made a full recovery, this is her first season and she doing a good nights graft with out any swellings limps ect ,good luck mate and am sure ur dog will be fine

    i suppose,if you do a fair bit of lamping,then the taller cross is better suited, but as 4 day time i prefer the smaller terrier size

    great topic ,lads,brought back some good memoreys,the only thing i found my bitch sufferd with ,was her ears ,she would always cut them to feck going through bramble because once she was on to somethink she would go through it like a missile happy hunting lads ATB TONY

    apart from a nasty scar , she sound hard to believe she snapped the two bones in her front leg when shes out running, she is doing a nights graft with out any problems,so all good mate ,pm your number and we will have a night out atb tony

    alrite cran i had mine years ago the dam to mine was a black and tan lakey and the sire was a white wippit, so i chose a raceyer type out the litter,back then you never heard of the cross and even now ,its rare but all i can say is the 1 i had was unreal she would go through the thickest of bramble garantee she would catch what ever was in there,she would go to ground on fox keep them at bay till you tapped in,then lock on like moe evil lol ,very sharp on rats and like the lad said his dog climbing up trees 4 the squirels they r boss at scrambling up things i no this sounds a bit far fetc

    my very first dog was a wippet x lakeland ,30 plus years ago,and i can onestly say,they take some ,beating ,as a day time mootching,dog,very clever,briliant nose and plenty of bottle ,i can see why youre mate is after the same breeding as yours mate ATB tony

    cocker spaniale not a bad one mate,and am only going by the one ive got here ,now this one here is one them fancey ones you see in crufts i minded it for me lad 5 years ago when he went on holiday, and fecker is still here haha,so i thought,i will see if i can get working got her out with me terrriers, and she got the idea fairly quick, so i think get one of them off workink stock,they would be ideal little grafter ATB tony
