  1. Snareman might be putting something up on here soon that will be of interest to you, nice doubler Donks
  2. Its very public, thats why I can't use ground traps or poison! I plan on using some Fenn 4 built into boxes (in trees) but I would be more than pleased to hear any other suggestions. Areas of the park will be closed to the public on a rolling basis for shooting and the traps are for backup and ongoing control as we only have a 5 day shooting option, the place is swarming with greys, as tame and cocky as you like! Cheers Deker As Moley has said on another thread you will be far better off using the Fenns or bodygrips in a box, out of sight is out of mind, pre baiting for 4 or 5 d
  3. OT, Hi Apollo, what make of mod is on your rifle, good pics too, all the best, PJ
  4. Woke up last Sat morning, no electric, so got mine going then to boil the kettle, 15 mins and had toast as well, come on winter, bring it on
  5. I use small annealed nuts to act as a stop for the noose, the ally ones at the end, where swivel is. Annealed nut at the end will hold if hammered flat/tight enough, it would want a washer in the swivel to stop it being pulled through and binding though.
  6. They are a first class trap, but for setting in trees there are far less expensive options, if you get one of these nicked it's £40 down the drain, is it private or public woodland?
  7. Those combs dont fit in all cage traps tho Make your own to fit, all you need is wood, drill and saw.
  8. Could not have put it better myself, cheers Glen.
  9. IMO Bushnell scopes are good value for money, I bought one for my .17HMR cost £109, it's as good if not better than another scope I have that now retails at over £400.
  10. I use an air pistol if cage trapped, make yourself a couple of plywood "combs" at least the height of the trap your using, the slots in the combs should be mad to slot over the wires and the width of the comb should be slightly less than the inside width of the trap, just move the squig up to the end using the combs and then despatch it.
  11. Good on ya Ditch, and I agree, can't see the point of posting shot fox pics, if you've seen one, you've seen 'em all, JMO.
  12. Yea, thanks for the thread, and banter lads,(and lasses), all the best
  13. Why? Are Wales And Scotland going to get together to produce a team to get beyond the quarter finals England the pioneers of winning rugby
  14. It could be argued that there would be a lot more if it wer'nt for God, there is also a lot of good in the world but it dos'nt make the news as much, I have always remembered Dave Allens end to his shows, "Goodnight and may YOUR God go with you."
  15. IMHO, Value for money wise the SX Multiguard from Essex Enviromental are as good as any, £48+vat for 10, and they're what I use in 9 cases out of 10, but like Ditch says if it's high traffic, use steel. If you do a risk assessment which you will do, even if it is a mental one, not written, and it calls for steel boxes then you should use them, otherwise you will be leaving yourself open to prosecution if non target species get poisoned from a smashed/broken bait box.
  16. I don't think that any trap is guaranteed to kill outright 100%, there are too many variables, the chief among them being the person setting, the placing of the bait and the placing of the trap itself. The only trap that I have had a 100% kill rate is the Kania, but thats a bit of overkill for mice.
  17. Because they're just a bunch of garlic eating surrender monkey's, that's why C'mon England, only one to go now!
  18. That was the most conservative French team I have ever seen, but Englands defense/ tackling was brilliant, and then Johnny did it when it mattered
  19. I once lived in a house with a living room that was a fridge, we had a roaring fire, draught stops on the door, and the furniture pulled up to the hearth. Then one day I bought a "Morso Squirrel" woodburning stove . We then had to move the furniture back to the walls, and leave the door slightly ajar, when I walked into the room in the evenings I was asleep in 10 mins, used to fill it at night come in at 6 in the morning open the dampers and whoosh away she went. First thing I put into a house I live in now is the "Squirrel". You can boil a kettle on them, toast, and bake if you make yoursel
  20. This ref was the first to ping McCaw and Collins for doing what they have have been masters at, ie lying on the wrong side after the tackle and slowing down the opposition ball, I know flankers have to play on the edge but tonight they came up against someone who was'nt afraid to ping them, plus NZ seemed to have no plan B. At least the Aussies and the Kiwis can save some money now, by catching the same plane home
  21. I would like to have seen something like that happen to that goalie who took a dive after he got a tap on the cheek by a fan in the Celtic game the other night, instead of stretchering him off, everyone should have just pissed on him.
