with antibiotics you should give them a full ten day coarse ,even when they look like there on the mend some people stop giving the treatment to save on tablets ,antibiotics kill the weaker germs first and can take a bit of time to kill the stronger one,s and its these can can get out of control if not treated properly , as for penacilin not sure how it works ,i think from what ive gatherd you inject once and that wipes the hole system out and starts again ,also not sure if its ok to give a jab of penacilin and then put them on antibiotics for ten days ,wouldnt mind knowing though ,just had a

im like you knipper mate a tight tw@t ,owt to save a few £££££ it did have a drip bead to start with ,then i reflagged the garden bringing it up higher ,thats why i pu the aco ,s in ,aint no water or damp gets in there pal ,any ways aint explaining my self to you (lol) we out when this ice has gone and i promise there wont be any hills

al who you refering to there mate ,did my time with some very good plasterers old school ,thats how i was tought so thats how i do my work ,so far ive had no call backs , i still see alot of my work week in week out ,some over ten years old and still going strong mate

Not if its been uni bonded properly. thing is if you only uni bond it mate is that the render and the wall has a thin membrain of unibond between them ,not as strong as a good scratch coat ,and if you doing a full gable then you need all the time you can get as you probs know ,here,s one we did last year and this is a full drop top to bottom with no peicings
-
if you dont put waterproofer in scratch coat it will crack and blow off in time trust me, been a plasterer for 15 years mate ,the top coat with just get all the water sucked out off it and will not set how its supposed to ,with water proofer in scratch coat the top coat will hang all day and set how its suposed to,a lot stronger and you get a proper finish otherwise it will go all bread crummy ,you can also use an acclerator / frost proofer as surgested but water in these conditions will still swell and then it will just blow off the scratch coat ,you need a few days of a nice temperture to do

nice set up there dog fox cheers mate been up about ten years now ,try putting aco drains around the bottom to take any water away thats running down your walls ,and it all depends on what block youve used to build them with ,if youve used clinka block you,ll have to render it as they act like a sponge to water ,these are compressed ash and are very light and rough to touch ,if youve used solid concrete block very heavy to lift and a smooth finish on them you may get away with just painting them ,but if you do it proper they will last forever
-
like bondy said mate render it and add a good ltr of waterproofer to every mix you make ,first a good scratch coat with waterproofer and then a good top coat with waterproofer in it ,leave scratch coat for a day or so before you put second coat on and when second coat is just about set rub it over with a damp sponge this will seal it all nice and strong and you should end up with something like this, dont do it while the weather is freezing wait till it gets a bit warmer

heating advise for kennels please
dog fox replied to scottish lurcher's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
have king span under all my beds ,you cant beat it ,its freezing out there and the terriers and lurcher are all toastie and warm, get a peice of king span put it on floor and sit on it for a couple of minutes ,you,ll be surprised how much heat comes back off your own body ,the stuff is a god send ,get it from any builders yard in 8x4 sheets not to expensive either -
sorry co if the box is switched off it wont pick it up ,but like smasher said you should leave it on send mode when out and about ,the barryvox changes its self over by its self when in search mode after 8 mins ,best thing would wait for all the snow to go and have another look pal

when you turn it on (into the send mode) hold the left button in, that'll take you into the set up menu, then use the the left button to go up and down and the right button to select. bryan you the man cheers pal
-
i use the barryvox with the bellman collar and find it bang on ,if the dog has pushed on a bit you can even turn the box sideways in the dig to find dog ,you only get about 20 secs before it tells you to hold horizontal but if your qiuck it works ,,i love it but the only problem is with it when i set it up it revertes back to send mode in about 4 mins whick can be fustrating a bit ,so one for bryan how do i change it so its on locate mode all the time ,i have read the mannual and you get 3 different options on this which are reverte back to send in 4 mins and in 8 mins and never ,its the neve

-
very easy but very dangerous to sometimes ,the sand can go that soft at times that the shovel will sink half way in by its self and is good for caving in at any time ,got to keep them nice an sqaure and your sides straight or you could be in big trouble them banks have claimed a lot of good terriers over the years before the bellman came around .keep at em pal and might bump into you one day down there
-
dug them steep banks afew times my self mate ,they can run very deep at times ,there,s been a few dogs over the years lost to ground in them before the bellman and flint came on the seen ,was it the side were the river runs round ,same bankings last year we had a 14 ft and another of 17 at least you no you dogs right when you going that deep to them
