  1. My cocker now 4 years old :-), finally the training is paying off
  2. Hi all, Looking to get myself a dive bottle, as fed up with pumping ;-) have found these, anyone had any dealings? they seem a lot cheaper than most but I don't want to end up with something that will let me down. anyone have any recommendations, I am looking for either a 3ltr or 4ltr as my space is limited http://www.godive.net/go-shoot/charging-kit/3-litre-300-bar-charging-kit-with-mde-valve.html Thanks in advance Dave
  3. Hi all, Anyone tried these yet, thinking of getting some 30g 5's for the later season birds (as I have been told that the 30g 6's have been recalled). Also wondering how they compare to the pure gold or rc sipe. Thanks Dave
  4. Anyone know where I can hold of a greylag and pink goose call made by Eddie Nixon, or contact Eddie direct? can't find anywhere to buy them just good reviews Thanks in Advance
  5. Have to say I have never had an issue with them on evening flights, found they work just as well as any other time, I do have mine on a timer so that may make a difference, def not illegal in the UK. I think its a case of playing around with it and find out what works for you, sometimes i find the ducks like it when its in the centre of the pattern and other times it needs to be right on the edge. I think you will find it will bring a welcome ne dimension to your decoying. Good luck
  6. I have used various flapping/spinning winged decoys and found the Mini Mojo by far the best, fantastic for drawing birds in, very reliable, good on batteries and very robust. also there are various versions from ones you can have floating in water to others that can be mounted on a spike for in stubble etc. The flapping model i had I wasnt impressed with and one wing broke very easily. ( abit of a pain when you can only get a replacement from the states) see the link below for the mojo, pretty good price too, mini's imo are the better model as they are easier to transport around. http://ww
  7. Hi all looking to purchase a laydown blind/hide for wildfowling, anyone have any recommendations, can you get them in this country or are my only options importing one. Main use will be in stubble fields or beet tops etc for the geese. Any advice would be great Thank you Dave
  8. Ended up going with some Eley lightning HP Steel. http://www.eleyhawkltd.com/cartridge/12-gauge/steel/lightning-steel-ultra-high-performance only had them for the last 3 weeks of the season, but was pretty impressed with the performance of them
  9. i Got mine from quest, and i can highly recommend it, http://www.questgundogs.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=82_96&product_id=259 as said, just be cautious intially and dont get too close to start with.
  10. Hi, do you have any pictures of the 20bore?
  11. Looking to buy myself a 20 bore for walked up rough shooting, looking to spend around £500, based in Cambridge but happy to travel a little bit for the right gun Thanks
  12. I have just done the same, had an escort for 2 years and fancied upgrading, did a lot of research and went for a browning maxus, and have not looked back, it's pretty light but even with big goose loads you get very little recoil, very easy to strip and clean and u can pick up a good second hand one for under £1000, there is a carbon version in the classified at the moment. I found it fitted me better than an extrema and I liked the fact it was a little different ( fore end a different design to most) oh and the speed load is fantastic, you just load from the bottom no fiddling around in the d
