    Went for a walk with the dog yesterday and she went for something on the ground I hadn't noticed - a racing pigeon. It's beak was covered at ye end with fur for some reason, so it couldn't open it's mouth. I took it home an have it some food and water while one of my mates rang the number on the tag.... Turns out it had flown from Middlesex! He had a mate from fife who picked it up... Anyone on here I would upload pics but I'm on my phone

    Can't beat an open fire outdoors in the winter... Can't beat getting out of your caravan and sparking one up before cooking a big fry up over it The smell of wood smoke, a nice brew, and peace and quiet. Heaven

    308 cal is one of the most versatile of all rounds Jock and if you reload you can make it great for almost any sort of shooting you will encounter in this country.I do shoot a .243 though and when the money allows I shall be filling a slot on the FAC for a 7mm 08 for all Deer and Boar. Yes Martin as I explained to the feo, I haven't got the money for 30 different calibres so rather have a one size fits all... I'd love to reload but again now isn't the right time to start, but yes the versatility would be great

    Send them a letter with your (or their) dramas and tell them as you've paid for a service and they can't provide, you're now taking legal advice with the intention of taking it all the way. If they're being that bad I'd also complain to the IPCC, and tell them you're going to do it as I guarantee their finger will pop out very quickly

    Tell them if you go to court over it you will be a credible witness, so wind their necks in He could still get it, but it depends on how far he's prepared to go down the legal side... Or at least the threat of it...

    I've applied for .308 for both, you never know if you'll have the chance to go for something bigger and a lot of estates/stalks have calibre restrictions. Also, I won't be making any money on deer for quite some time so as far as I'm concerned meat damage is out the window. But having said that, .243 by all accounts is the better option

    I'd eat anything to survive, but in the here and now I've eaten the usual - rabbit (having a curry tonight), pigeon, venison and the rest. Can't beat pigeon, shame there isn't more meat on them!

    That's the thing mate, they probably searched it the first time while the gran and that were there making a fuss, but that happens all the time and I find it incredible they missed it 3 times. Don't think anyone will resign unless it turns out she was alive until a day or two ago and they could've found her alive. Doubt it though, it'll all come out in the end

    The cops arrest people all the time to make them shit themselves - ie if the gran wouldn't grass the bloke up, they'd say right you're getting done for it too, you're under arrest for her murder. So the public make their minds up and the full story hasn't come out yet
