    A friend of my son has just been paid off and rather being on the dole is going to start up doing something on his own with a small van he wants to buy from me . How hard is it now to start up something with out much qualification as I start up years ago in scrap and bought a old van and went for it before licences and liability insurance etc . I don't want to put a dampener and fair play to the fella idea but don't think it's as easy now is it ?

    Neither would of made it as pros......Shaw possibly before he put a load of weight on in jail but neither had the mentality for pro boxing. never liked shaw he was numpty guess that's why he went to mental hospital and they supposed to off removed parts of his brain !! Or so he says

    Aye nice and cheap we uk fuel prices ,surprised more folk don't buy them for town run about ??

    We had one good offroad got but got same mpg as the l200 and couldn't tow much so sold it pity we can't by diesel version in uk . But saying that there fun to drive and still like them .

    Anyone recomend a decent jacket for about £100 that I could use on shoot and go fishing walk the dog etc like something with storm cuffs and waterproof and someing machine washable , as the wax jacket now stands up on it own .

    dog only worth how much someone is willing to pay !!! How do you judge one dog is worth £500 one is only worth £150 , what does a guy do with 12 pups he want £500 if no one buys them ??? Do we really want to end up we the whole lab doodle thing mongrels selling for crazy money . Only encourages the puppy peddlers, anyway if I want to pay greyhound prices I will buy one .

    I've read both their biographys ages ago,one refused to fight the other Didnt they,? suppose to have beat maclean and shaw .

    It is also handy if you have spare run to put dogs in when u clean them out, that way you can bleach and hose down without any risk to dogs . Nice set up Neil well done lad !!!!

    I would of love to see him Fight batley Gorman. I remember going down as kid to the fair and watching men fight in the boxing booths ,they had to last three ( 3 minute rounds didn't have to beat the guy just go the distance ,and very few did manage to last against them .lots of tough men then as nobody had nowt .

    I have found that most of the big money lurcher are breed of non working dogs , and the folk selling them are in for the money. and while They prob do well we training try to find someone we dogs from proven working lines more likely to get steady type of dog as it bread for the job. I have breed some good dogs in the past and genuinely sold them cheap cos I knew they were going to right kinda of folk . Sure be some dog men on here able to help atb

    Surely that's got something to do with it. You don't usually offer out a day at the salmon then get abused for it...You definitely don't expect that reaction from the older generation ....bitter old man why can't you accept your a whopper lad , we your snide comments about back end prices etc plenty of good fishing cheaper than your swim , don't see you quizzing other lads who posted prices . You certainly don't promote your self and swim in a good light . By all means you can disagree with people but calling folk pricks and verbal abusing folk .surprised you haven't been throwing in your swim

    I just had a quick flick through the old issues I have of Working Terrier and Running Dog (because I was starting to doubt myself) and in issue 20 the editor mentions that The Animal Liberation Front sent an incendiary device that went off and caused a fire in their offices.Mind you, looking through the mags reminded me that the early 90s really was a golden age of working dog authors. It was a great mag. aye where do the find these nutters ?? I have even heard story's about then hurting and killing keepers and hunt dogs .so much for there love of animals .

    i,m a bit of a Landy purist and I think, that thing like most modern Landy,s would be left wanting against a proper 101 ,I think the beauty of the original series 1-2-3 and the 101 was the fact they could be repaired at the side of the road if they ever did break down, were as a modern one has to be fixed by a technician with a diagnostics computer and a van full of spare parts, landrover ceased making proper Landy,s after the 200tdi defender, from there on it was all down hill, if you want to go fast get a sports car but if you want to go anywhere get a proper landrover I thought the 300tdi w
