    i sold a 8 month old mint xl in 22 beech for £180 with bsa sweet scope about 2 years ago mate, nice little rifle a pretty accurate to 35 yards, took many a squizzer and bunny with it. mine was pretty lively and did have a bit of a twang. but was running at 10.5ftlbs so left alone. there are better for the money depends on budget mate but i would opt for a used weirauch or air arms if i was to get another springer.there are some fine springer shooters on here mate that should be able to point you in the right direction.     As i stated on the other thread mate not neccesary as the rowan replacement only secures the cylinder you could try a thinner oring or modify the original band etc. http://rowanengineering.com/products8.htm#hw100barrelbands if you check out the link the free floating type is pictured there. you would need a band of some king to use the stock securing bolt though.     Hi the barrel band is there for support of cylinder and barrel and the front stock stud secures to this so serves a purpose but you can get a custom one that only secures the air cylinder so the barrel is free floating. your choice really but i would leave well alone as the hw100 is a quality and deadly accurate gun standard.     if it is the quickfill version mate just unscrew it, if non qf then you will need to empty cylinder of air and the undo. may be easier to remove from the stock though just remove the two allen screws. ATB Aaron
