  1. well, feck off & don't bother replying then, you twat! if i was a mod you'd have had all your space-wasting posts deleted & been booted off the forum. you're only trying to get your post count up to make yourself look good, whcih isn't working because you're making an idiot of yourself in the process. oh, hang on, what am i saying? making an idiot of yourself? job's already done...
  2. i remeber seeing a QI where they were talking about something similar - McVities had a helluva job convincing the VAT man that jaffa cakes were indeed cakes, and not biscuits. they even baked a 12" jaffa cake to demonstrate it's true cakeyness. the basic theory is that a when a biscuit goes stale it goes soft, whereas when a cake is stale it goes hard. Jaffa Cakes
  3. i've currently got the lurcher insured with the NFU, it costs about 7 quid a month, and it covers him for 2 grands worth of treatment per accident/injury. i'm going to get the terrier insured with sainsbury's, and switch the lurcher to them when his policy is due for renewal. my cousin is a veterinary nurse and says that sainsbury's are good, not too pricey (about 12 quid a month, they cover up to 6,500 per illness/injury for that, and lifelong treatment as well), and they almost always pay up with no problems. don't mention it's a working dog, and say it's a mongrel. also, my cousins top tip
  4. my dad named his shaggy black lurcher "Black b*****d" (my dad is what would have been born if Alf Garnett & Enoch Powell got it on) i called my cat "Shit", but he also answered to Shitstick, Shitwizard, & Turd. i currently have a cat called "Muff", named in honour of a friends cat that got run over, who was called "Minge"
  5. my dad has fed his dogs on dr john for years, or whatever else happens to be really cheap at the petshop. he soaks it (too much in my opinion, it looks like soup!). seems to work though, our housedog is 19 now! i feed my two on Skinners Field & Trial Maintenance, as the littl'un loves it, and it doesn't cost an arm & a leg (money is very tight at the mo'). they also have bones two or 3 times a week, last night i shared a hare out between them & the ferrets, and they pinch carrots off the horses. had them on Autarky for a while, big'un liked it but it gave littl'un the shits s
  6. i've seen a couple in the last few years. when i was little there was a whole spate of sightings & attacks, including a calf torn to bits in a field opposite my best friends house. the only thing i've spotted recently was this: might be a big dog's print, but where's the toenails? spotted it just off a footpath, near my cousin's pheasant cover, where loads of muntys & roe pass through. not the best pic, sorry!
  7. apologies, i was under the impression there was only one telecom company in Ireland, with a monopoly on all landlines. VALUE bundle? 55e? feck me....!
  8. i don't think any of what Ditch wrote actually applies to you, being as you're in Cornwall, and he's talking about Eire... no BT over there!
  9. i am certainly not crazy!!! please explain what you saw in that video? have you watched all their videos? i've seen a lot worse posted on youtube, A LOT worse. you are all starting to sound like fluffy-wuffy antis, go take a reality check, a few deep breaths, watch it again, watch all their videos, pay attention to the kid who the ferret actually belongs to. forget the mate with the camera, he's clueless.
  10. what is it with you people?!?! check the dates!!! that ad is 4 months old ffs!!!! you lot are more desperate than Jade Goodey naked & greased at a speed-dating night!
  11. um, i think someone must have changed the video on the first post of this topic, cos i saw a lad holding a ferret by the tail, dropping it & it running up to the lad with the camera who obviously isn't a ferret fan, then putting it in a bucket with a pierced lid? when i was that age i was taught to carry ferrets by the tail. i don't now, cos even the supposedly nasty ones are ok with me. and it's always fun to freak the out the ferret-dodger! it just looks like the eager young lad trying to get the older boys to hang out with him... the bucket thing is a good idea, looks like a caterin
  12. as some of you know, i've acquired this fuzzy wee thing from my cousin: she's been a housedog all winter, now she's out in the kennel with the lurcher, and her coat is, quite frankly, crap. it's more like something you'd pick out of your belly button than an appropriate covering for a bushing/ratting dog. it really is as soft & fluffy as it looks. now, the tiny, tiny little bit of girlyness buried deep in me rather likes her being like that, but it's doing her no good - everything sticks to her (i'm dreading the goose-grass getting up), and she only has to look at a puddle to get soake
  13. there's an estate few villages away that used to stock almost exclusively black birds. they've still got plenty of wild-bred ones knocking about. poacher-proofing, i believe was the idea behind it. white birds are sometimes released as markers, to find out how far the birds are travelling.
  14. no, i can't. now feck off. thats probably cos your a c*nt how original.
  15. No it dont! yes it does. my mum's 30 year old arab x welsh mare suffered terribly with sweetitch for years, we've been doing her with benzyl benzoate for the last 7 years, and she can actually get through the summer with her mane intact & without driving herself to distraction with the itching.
  16. FFS!!!! you've only posted 3 topics, all the f*cking same!!!! do as earth&hounds says, get a CMW, or stop being a tight c*nt, and a thick one too, pay the fiver, stick the ad in the right section, and stop wasting forum space!!!!
  17. you really will reply to anything to get your post count up, won't you Coney? he's already been booted mate, you missed the boat!
