  5. I use a Sako 75 finnlight and would highly recommend it,not sure if the later 85's were of the same build quality though. Martin
  6. Almost certainly a medal class head, but it doesn't count if you didn't shoot it.........lol Martin
  7. It's a very symmetrical head 'JD' mate, but may be a bit light in my opinion but that doesn't take away from the beauty of it does it.I am not a trophy hunter but on a day where I was waiting in for a delivery I weighed a few heads I have kept that were on top of the cabinet and 3 should go Silver, but I shan't ever get them scored.Good luck with yours though.
  8. Here is my cert back today from renewal with the ALQ added, but am I right in assuming that most people with this condition in place have 'Any other lawful quarry' and not 'Legal'? Do you think that this makes any difference as I am of the opinion that Lawful does not necessarily mean Legal especially in Law? I shall be e-mailing the FAD tomorrow to ask for a detailed explanation of the condition in writing as I feel it might be a bit ambiguous.....................any intelligent comments are more than welcome. Thanks Martin
  9. Yes I do Shroom, not everything but I need to vac the bacon and stuff like steaks etc,I do freeflow a lot of the products though as I feel a nice big pile of linked sausages looks a lot better than 4 in a vac bag.I also over wrap stuff like burgers etc. Martin

  11. Thanks Sussex, but I usually feed the nuts to the dogs..........lol Martin
  12. I had my local EHO round for his investigative visit today, and as he left I felt like the world was a very sunny and bright place all of a sudden,to say he was over the moon was an understatement,he even took some photo's to show his colleagues and other would be business starters what could be achieved if you really try(his words not mine). This visit also determines your 'Food Hygiene Rating' ( http://www.bathnes.g...e-rating-scheme ) and to top off a great morning I was awarded 5 out of 5,and I can tell you I was walking on clouds for the rest of the day,and to be honest I haven't had a lot

  14. I think you'll find that the shop owner is of the opinion that the humble .22lr isn't actually a Fox round, which although I have shot a hell of a lot of foxes over many years I also agree that it isn't a true Fox rifle, and he was trying to make sure as a newbie that you weren't tempted to take long shots, and I think that is a very sensible approach.Too many Foxes are running around with .22 slugs in them,so if you are going to be shooting them on a regular basis then get the appropriate tool for the job,and a fantastic round for the job is a .204cal and you won't get any runners either!
