  1. Good luck with your search mate. You'll get plenty of answers on this but my advice to you is to read as much as you can on here. Research, look back over old threads, see what other people use, ask plenty of question, take some answers with a pinch of salt but take them all on board. This place is a wealth of information if you listen to the right people. Good luck and all the best Sam

  14. Well I'll be looking to have a litter in spring/summer next year. Don't want her to miss the season lol If I don't find a decent dog, it won't be happening and I'm hoping that the pups will have plenty of drive. She's got a good working pace for when shes bushing out to a gun. She covers all the ground well but you only need to be walking. Glad she's doing well for you mate. She's a nice looking dog too
  15. Was out tonight with my new camera. Not the greatest but I'm happy with them
  16. Thanks mate. Not the prettiest but that doesn't matter to me Heres one from today; From what I've heard from the guys who have got terrier x spaniels, they're supposed to make very good dogs - Obviously, if the right dogs are used Hows your lurcher bitch coming on matey?
  17. I'm looking for a working cocker dog to put over my terrier bitch. She is a very good bushing/ratting/ferreting dog and any trial is welcome to see what the dog's being put over. Only breeding to keep a pup back and I've already been asked by other lads around me to let them know if I breed. Here's my bitch; Travelling isn't a problem - just the right dog Edited to add that I don't mind a cocker or small sprocker Sam

  19. Thanks mate it does look like she want to go to ground for rabbits, but I do take her ferreting when she marking she go back & forth around the holes then to the same hole, by putting half her body down then look at me to say come on get on with it. Then she stand a way, why I net up give 5 mins put a ferret in then let the games begin. All the time she doesn't touch the nets. She does the same when i'm mooching around when we come across an rabbit earth. As you see in this video you see her mark then me calling her away. http://youtu.be/MGmRvDRRGDY I did go back & got 4 ra
  20. She looks like a good little worker mate! Word of advice though. Try and stop her trying to get down those rabbit holes otherwise you might loose her. I got my self into a sticky situation with mine who was exactly the same. I spent all of last season gettin it out of her - letting her mark but giving her a tap if she went in a bit far. Seems to have worked for me!
  21. Haven't you got a mate that will look after it for you? Even if you buy enough dog food for his dogs too or if you have to give him a bit of money...? Surely that's worth it?
