I think its a good book,could have been a little more diverse ie not the same questions to every terrierman,i think it would have been better done as an interview rather than Q+A but never the less its still a very good book

I dont think there's any point in it if you've got the right stuff to start with,and if you have'nt got the right stuff dont breed it with anything.I dont think Buck or Breay ever used bull terrier blood in their lines. -

I keep my ferrets in cages with wire bottoms like mink cages but bigger,with a tray underneath to catch shit and ive never mated a jill in 23yrs and never had one die from not breeding from them,the one ive got now must be 6-7 and never seen a hob.I think the main problem is the jills swollen vulva easily lets bacteria in leading to problems,with a wire floor theres no muck.I may be wrong but its worked for me for years.It means you don't add to problem of too many unwanted kits and you rehome a few from people who have some they want rid of

Similar colouring to a buzzard or sparrowhawk egg but they usually lay 3-4,hard to tell how big it is in pic

Does any one know where i can get some reasonably priced tattoo gear from to ID mark dogs ears with? Ive searched the net but the ones in UK are quite expensive,ive found some US suppliers where price is very reasonable but i cant get a price on P+P etc.Any adice would be great

I'd say its probably just a colour variation,perhaps the guard hairs are just not as noticable because of their light colouring or maybe they dont have them because white guard hairs would be useless anyway?? I would be very carefull taking any part of a dead badger,as far as i know its illegal and could take some explaining if found in your possesion,especially being a hunter/shooter,they'd be quick to jump to the wrong conclusion

I bought mine off Brian with a written pedigree,i think thats the only way to be sure your getting dogs from a certain strain by getting them off the people who's strain it is,although thats still no guarantee as some will sell dogs on as their own stuff when its not.Best bet is to stick to a line that you know well or breed your own from suitable stock IMO

Ive had a litter of 8 before,a mate had a litter of 9 this season,and i know someone who had 14,probably more than one litter but they were all even size??
