it can be awkard to say the least when your out on your own hauling rabbits around alright. Was out during the week and i slipped the dog while i was getting over the gate when i got into the field the dog was out about 10 yards in front of me waiting for me.i gave a quick shine around the field and seen a fox gave him a quick squeak and he came flying in nearly ran into my dogs mouth so i suppose sometimes it may be an advantage. But if i can at all ill keep him on a slip because i can pick his runs then say instead of him running thebunny close to the ditch ill give him the squatter first if
-
if youve to shout at your dog whilst out lamping would it not be better to keep him on the slip instead of scaring everything off in that field and maby the next ones ??

lamp recomendations for my 11year old son
munster man replied to huntsmen671's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
what ever he gets if he has a lithium batt dont forget a flashlamp why are the connections bad on them or what?? no there first class they dont drain down they just go off ya but isnt there a gauge to let you know that its going dead.prob be better to have it going dead all of a shot and have a tourch handy, than to have a the beam going yellow for the last hour or so with the normal batteries, ill have to invest -
