    heres a pic my jess 4 and a half months old now coming along nicely .looking foward to next season with her now cant wait to get her going .enjoy the rest of the season .im itching for next season

    id say the last fella hardly had the dog on the lamp at 3months imo the dog hasnt bonded fully with you.how did his retrieve training go?i think you will find it very hard to reverse your dogs bad traits at this stage not impossible though.why dont you try leave him out on a long lead when lamping that way you can stop him hunting up.best of luck

    what causes a dog to be hard mouthed ??is it the individual dog,the breeding or can it be caused when training and entering??

    ya i dont think i would be bringing anyone out that wasnt clued up,but there are young lads who wont go behind your back and will appreciate the advise,but i agree you can be burnt fairly quickly thats life .you live and learn ,guess you need to be a good judge of character,even at that it can still come back and bite you in the arse.

    good night for it danny good wind up, was out earlier for 2hours got 8.one rabbit was hitting the ditch so hard broke its neck off a mound of clay about 2 foot out from the ditch,left a small squeal out of it dog picked it and brought it back ,funny now

    ya waste of time following the dog around with the lamp when his hunting up will make matters alot worse .turn the lamp off for a few seconds and then shine the light down to your feet to let the dog no where you are.it helps too if you pick the darkest of nights to go out.

    iv hunted a few spots in cork and there was alot of fields moving with them havnt been down in a year or so.

    good stuff ya both parents are good all rounders with a few good seasons behind them.i dont think there will be too much bull showing in the pup now but plenty of drive.
