  2. I'm glad you like it Si mate, I'll be doing some tests too, just some comparisons between .177, .22 and .25! I'll post them on my Ytube chanel too!
  3. Just need a spare to go on my gun while I refinish the other one as its looking a little ruff! lol
  4. Anything at all, as long as it's in serviceable condition! I.E not attacked with a 6mm drill to let all the air out! Let me know
  5. Hi Phil, Have you got any idea of the date that the rifle will arrive at my place buddy? PM me buddy rather than give details in the open forum pal. If you could also PM me the details that I asked for in the email that I sent to Shay it would be appreciated mate and will help tonnes with the final review. If you could get up to mine with Shay you would be more than welcome to come onto one of my permissions and shoot ferals and bunnies pal sometime. In regards to the review, all I need is the rifle, scope, mounts, and lots and lots of .25 pellets mate that suit the barrel.
  6. I'll try and get some decent footage together for it assuming I can grab a permission at some point. keep up the good work Si! (and everyone else!!) Phil
  7. Hi Shay, nice shooting mate, I didnt think it would be long until you get her back in the field! It was great to see you again today, we had a good laugh! I'm glad you like all the little bits I did to the gun, I'll try and think of some de-twanger, aulthough I have literally just been thinking about it now and I could have done a little something! Lol oh well, next time I see you I can do it in 5 minutes. (famous last words) Phil
  8. Well the pricing for a "realtree dip" are at best, VERY VERY HIGH! I was quoted £300 to do a stock! The strip isnt too tricky, Colin at Manchester Airguns has some of the finest blueing I've ever seen so thats where I'd take it if I wanted it blueing, he might even strip it for you as well As for the stock, I'd give it your own cammo job, its fairly easy and only about £30 for the sprays you'll need. Or a nice black laquer job Phil
  9. Top shooting there mate! I hope the Mag is working for you now Phil
  10. top bit of shooting fellas! I wish I had a ratty permission my .25 would love it! great write up too! Phil
  11. I can see where you are coming from with this,, but THL is almost a social club,, some nights it is yhe trivial banter that makes the site! lol. trusted members is the way to go. Perhaps the use of "trivial banter" was the wrong phrase. I do enjoy having a good natter and a laugh with members on any forum, I, by my own admission, will tend to go quite far off topic (any of you who know me will varify that I'm sure) but since you are amongst enthusiasts of the same thing, some of which you may come to call friends after knowing them, then theres nothing wrog with that at all, it's
  12. I know I'm a newbie on THL, so my opinion probably won't count for much. I'm a Mod the BSAOG (some of you may know me, if you do hello, and if you don't, nice to meet you ) I agree every site should have a "regulation" of the classified sections, on the BSAOG we have recently bought in a "30 post" system, and to a certain extent, it does work. But I'm all for using a system whereby a 3rd party is involved in a deal, sending the money and product to the trusted established 3rd party, whomb can check over the goods, and then send the money and product in their respected directoins. This is

  14. You can use whatever you like mate, loads of people use their own home made formulas. WD40, Furniture Polish, 3 in 1, car veleting stuff. It's worth a try, but its safer to test in PCP's as you wont get "diesling" to such a great extent, but be warned, lubing pellets decreases friction, increasing velocity, so your ft/lbs will also increase, possibly by by 1/2 a ft/lb or more!! so be aware!
  15. Increasing the "lock time" on PCP's does have its advantages, basically it decreases the time between you pulling the trigger and the pellet leaving the end of the barrel. So any shooter error will be decreased, increasing the accuracy of the shot. I think BSA Hornets have the fastest lock time on any BSA gun, not to sure about the other manufacturers If you have a gun with a standard "lock time" and a decreased "lock time" there is a very noticeable difference between the action of the guns, and the overall accuracy, however this only shows through when being used by a shooter, clamping
  16. I see you got that stock off Carb then! looks great!

Cycles perfectly £28 BSA Ultra stubby fill probe in used condition, works perfectly £10 BSA Hornet Reg, came off a Hornet I had Regged, no idea what its worth, I’ll say £40 but any reasonable offer accepted. 18. what about the logun silencer... I rate my TWink Mk2 silencer above all others shoter than the Logun Phil
  19. Hi guys, thanks again for the kind words, Si, I've just PMed you by the way The Stock mods: The stock was a Beech standard stock, the butt section of the stock was then bored out to accept a 200CC buddy bottle, with piping running through the pistol grip to the front res. I then stripped the stock with Nitromors, getting it down to bare wood, then rubbing it down with sandpaper until it was smooth to the touch even when wet. I then filled the slight gap between the bottle and stock with Chaulk, so it would give a cleaner line then covered. 3 coats of black undercoat were then addde
  20. Hi John, as said above I wouldunt use it on the action, or at least not keep it on permanently, I'd use it on the scope, silencer etc placed that are not blued permanently if you wanted that effect. I use this stuff: http://www.mcnett.com/Camo-Form-Protective-Camouflage-Wrap-P274.aspx this is just about the only place that imports the stuff that I've found, and for a very good price! http://www.polimil.co.uk/acatalog/Camo_Form_Self_Cling_Camoflage_Wrap__13_25.html In my opinon much better than the JP cammo tape as I always find the JP stuff is abit "light DPM" but this suff
  21. AFAIK the PCP's of BSA are still made in Brum, only the springers are made by Gamo I'm ringing JB tomorrow so I can ask him if you like? Phil
  22. Thanks for the replys fellas, I cant tell you how much it cost because I honestly dont know anymore! I think in its current state its about £600 I'm fitting a longer Res at the front maybe, to give it an extra 70cc of capacity (approx 90-100) shots, also fitting a full bull barrel. And a few other little mods that are highly classified It shoots superbly, "venomviper" or Shay has held it, I nearly had to use a crowbar to get his hands off it! It really does shoot very well indeed, the balance makes it just fall back into your shoulder, perfect, in my opinion Phil
  23. Hi guys, as some of you may have noticed i have a .25 Ultra Bull barrel and its generated abit of interest so i thought I'd share some pics with you It started off life in this form: Since then the stock has been worked down and re-sprayed in "plastidip" wich has given a very nice smooth but still grippy texture. A few stages of making: Varnish has just been stripped and is ready for sanding Hung up ready for primer and bottle has been sealed Final coat of Plastidip has just been applied The stock is ready, now for the action! sign0151
