  1. 8. It's been taken by a student on a gap year travelling the world and will be photographed infront of famous landmarks which will be uploaded to an internet blof which will go viral. Oh hang on, that's gnomes.
  2. Try putting a realistic pigeon decoy up in the target zone. Chances are the marksman won't look too closely before shooting, and then you can look at the pellet holes in the deek and work out which direction the shots are comming from at least.
  3. The crime was committed as soon as the dog ran off but the retrieve live to hand is obviously a good thing. You missed the chance to punish for unsteadiness but the retrieve should be praised. Punishment when it returned with the duck could result in the dog being unwilling to come back to you ( ie
  4. Our good friends at LACS have managed to cobble a video together "exposing the truth" about the game shooting industry. It was up for about a day before being removed because they had used scenes from a BASC film without asking and so broke copywrite laws! They've re-edited it and got it back up and here it is for your enjoyment! Let the deconstruction begin!
  5. Thanks for the heads up, I've set my box to record it.

Mine too. Some of the posts are hard enough to read with their appalling spelling and grammar without this!
  7. Will they take Charlie (pre-ban)?
  8. I "taught" mine at a training class with another dog. I threw the dummy into a pond for mIne and he ran around and around the bank trying to work it out. Eventually we sent the other (experienced) dog. I tried again with mine and he knew what to do but still wouldn't go in the water so out of frustration I pushed him in! He swam straight to the dummy, took it on his mouth and swam back. I now have trouble keeping him out of water! I wouldn't actually advise anyone to do it this way but it worked for this dog.
  9. Pheasant season is 1st October - 1st February in England, Scotland and Wales but you'll still need the landowners permission. A head shot with a sub 12 will do the job no problem.
  10. There must be someone up there who can offer him some land. He is "available" and he won't even charge you to shoot your deer!
  11. Sounds like you have two options: 1. Get a new wife. 2. Leave the KCS at home when you take the terriers out. It might be called a spaniel but generations of in-breeding have made it useless as a working dog.
  12. Stuff the dead bird into a cut down pair of tights with just the head poking out. If she'll pick that then expose the tail and gradually show more of the bird as she picks it with confidence. It may also be worth trying a different kind of bird. Pigeons have very loose feathers and your dog may not like getting a mouthful of them.
  13. The infantile part of my sense of humour can't stop laughing! I do apologise.
  14. Not bad legs for an 86 year old!
  15. It is a bit of a daft question to ask on an air rifle hunting forum but I'm guessing as it's a school project he needs to do research and collect data.
  16. You'd be better off asking in the lurcher section mate.
  17. Just remembered - I once watched 2 crows harassing a stoat across a golf course fairway. Whenever the crows got to close the stoat would turn and rush them! Best bit was once the stoat reached the otherside it ran about a foot up a tree trunk and leapt at the crows like a ninja!!
  18. I'vs seen 2 attacking a live myxi rabbit. Poor fecker had most of the back of it's head missing.
  19. I'd like to see pictures of them if you get 'em!
  20. Saw it at the end of the new series of Swamp People the other day. RIP Mitchel Guist, you crazy Cajun SOB. Oh ya ya bay!
