    Always up for ratting be it terriers and the smoker or pcp and nv . I' m glad Dean asked me to come, hope to be there next week ( if work doesn't come in thick and fast ) boy Jef can go go at some pace lol

    I went out there yesterday and there were alot of really high birds . Some nice banks to get the birds off too, some of them parts were like rockets at a good height too. What shooting i did manage to see, were really top shooting of a few of the guns. And i think they would be too much for my shooting . I was totally fecked last night and slept like a log. I lost my whistle for me dog Tuesday and didnt have time to get and buy a new one, so it verbal commands only. Nice setup up there James nice to have met you hopefully see you next Wed Bry

    Perhaps a short min clip of the Damage rats do, & the amount of food a bad infestation can amount to a farmers feed bill ? Also the many diseases rats pass onto Humans and Dogs ? And Shooting is a very Humane way of controlling such a pest species ( having not to use so much poison then. ?????? )

    For ratting at night out the farmyard/barns depends if you want a addon or permanent scope? or if where you will be shooting theres lights about. So its Digital or Tube based NV Get a tube based addon with extra IR for about £400-50 ( need to be care around lights and not turn on in daytime ) Digi lot of people making home made adddons ( can be used day/nite ) then theres the digi pulsar N550 dedicated scope, also good for rabbits £just under £1000.00. Best to go out with some one and try before you buy BUT RATS HATE THEM lol

    Night Vision and a very quiet pcp air rifle sorts out the rats GOOD + PROPER lol I Gag for heavy rat infestations to get on the rats LOVE ITTTTTTTTTTT

    Over the last say 3 years, i have been getting quite a few double catches from areas that normally holds 1 mole. But most times its on boundary hedges/fences where i can only treat 1 side and not the other. On treating domestic lawns that edge onto farmland this happens a lot, all year round. Strategies of trapping and telling the customer " there's only 1 mole per certain territory " is gone by the way i think ? Usually any domestic lawns i get with mole activity is where the customer waters the lawns regular, which in such bring the worms brings Mr Mole to Bry

    I have a slt and shes a great worker, ( above ground ) a Big fault with mine is her coat. Ok it looks a good coat but its fine and many times i've had to untangle her from the thick bramble as it gets tangled into her poxy coat (like it does a sheep ). Totally different from all other terriers i've owned, more laid back, and once excited knowing shes going working she can very vocal.

    Foxes and badgers dig and take away traps with moles in, look around you might find them lol

    Sounds a job for a rifle + night vision there, But sounds very dangerous with so many others out lamping and shooting.

    Russ i have 1 here , i tried it once on the rats ( outside and it ate up the 2 batts ) going to convert it when i get down to Maplins to get a few bits .

    what do you use for the i/r source,led ,lamp with ir filter or ir laser.thanks . That night i used 170+ir filter, i also use lazer other times.

    I put my Challenger on my rimmy, pest control on a footie pitch. Shot 1 rabbit at 47 paces, 1 rabbit at 98 paces & another a bit further to 1 side of the 98 paced rabbit. Not bad for a cheap gen1 addon Bry

    Just been out with the dogs and would you believe it about 1/2 mile from home i spot a fennel plant :thumbs: so i harvested 3/4 of the plant :whistling:
