    as an ex lurcher man i always believed a hare should only be killed by a single dog and not a bullet and before anyones says owt i took great pleasure out of seeing my dogs chase a hare WITHOUT catching it . i think it would be fair to let them see the summer out before you shoot any more tho mate

    well lads /lasses up here in north east we have plenty jays,and if you didnt know this a jay robs as many songbirds nests as a magpie ,and i bet you all shoot magpies so im happy to shoot one when i get the opportunity as they are very hard to shoot with an air rifle, sorry if it offends you but vermin is vermin in my eyes and i love my song birds .atb billy

    i went to hexham [northumberland] last night after my tea to visit a mate with a rather large garden ,he said a few bunnies were messing his lawn up .so off i went with the trusty rapid and on arrival the first thing i see is a mixy rabbit on his drive way[i hate this horrible desease],after a quick cuppa and a chat i walked round his garden and only got one opportunity on a rabbit about 30yds away ,i raised the rifle gave it a squeak as it had its back to me and as it sat upright i dropped the bugger with a lovely head shot,just as im about to walk to iti heard the racket off a couple of ja

    hi every one ,my cocker bitch is due to drop her pups in a fortnights time and the number i had for a vet to dock tails has failed[on holiday for august] i live in jarrow north east england and would appreciate any info you might have .all my local vets refuse to dock tails [idiots] thanks billy

    keeping the dog outside wont do any harm at all just get that book and go at it word for word and im sure you will be fine just be patient with the dog and dont over do anything

    To arrange a time yet but it will be 11 i think......... to the origional topic-my cocker bitch will retrieve magpies dead or alive but only dead crows as i think she got a peck from one when a young dog .i tend not to send her out for crows now just in case

    dont work a lurcher now but i did a lot of foxing way back when i was a lad lol a piece ofpolystyrene dampened and rubbed on car window killed a hell of a lot of foxes for me

    hi mate i own a logun mk1 and i assure you the logun is a very very good rifle mind you these early models are of the highest quality only down side is lack of shots per fill compared to the rapid

    the dog will be off for a good 6 months as her knee cap keeps popping out and needs a pin and a bit of bone grooved out ,which cant be done till she has her pups ,shes in a right huff the poor thing but i will perevere with her
