Yeah ran my tranny van on it . I live near York and theres a guy who sells it on the A64, 79p a litre. The van ran really well on it and when I tested it at work on the exhaust gas annalizer there were vertually no emmissions from it. Apparently if you have a smokey motor and want to get it through the test you run it on this stuff and it should pass. The stuff this guy sells is the pucka stuff as it has all the soaps and rubbish removed from it and is not just straight vegatable oil. I ran it from april till last month but I don,t know how it would perform in the colder months as regards to

Thats really tidy HBG it saves them sliding around your waste when you bend down or climb over some thing. The best harness for batteries I have ever seen belonged to a lad called Tony from Barnsley, and was a miners lamp battery harness similer to yours. Apparently alot of lads from south yorkshire use these, has anyone else seen or used one of these as they were ideal?

I can,t believe this old topics been debated again. You will never come to a conclusion to it on an internet forum, any one who breeds the amount of dogs he does is going to get a greater amount of duffers. Ive had two of his bitches , same breeding different mothers from storming norman, one has turned out to be an intellegent average allrounder the other one was scatty and without going into it to deeply CRAP!. I persiveered with the crap dog till she was four then gave her to a freind as a pet. Over the decades all the over lurchers we have had that have been bred from lads from proven w

petrol in a diesel engine is worse than diesel in a petrol as it will knacker the injector pump as there is no lubricant in petrol. In the petrol engine if you put diesel in its just a matter of flushing the system. White smoke in a diesel is usually atributed to oil, ie worn bores or filling it with to much oil. Petrol will burn in a diesel but will knaker your pump. I speak from experience as I have been a diesel fitter for 23 years.

Yeah were going , its always a good laugh watching lurchers running round the track, and the bars always open and the cafe, good trade stalls and general gossiping with mates. heres a map X marks the spot

It all depends on the type of warren, some warrens I know I will always have to dig to get them out of the stop ends. I have to keep the numbers down at all costs and need results. Often pulling 2 or 3 rabbits out of a stop end ,rabbits I would not have got unless I had not dug to them. I could not take on any other such leisurely approach. Where I live my annual tally is about 500 rabbits a year or thereabouts either shot on the lamp, lamped with the lurchers or ferreted. The reason why I gave you such a harsh responce to my last reply was because you gave me such a harsh reply saying m

:realmad: :realmad: I have to agree with big bob. what do all you key rattlers do with all the rabbits that get bunched up in stop ends ? do they come out when you rattle your keys aswell. I cannot believe all you people who supposably have decades of experience can come out with such utter bullshit .
-
The main difference between a good and bad ferret is wether it will go down that extra level or ledge to get to the rabbits. Some will only circle around the upper levels and you will get no results, no matter how many times you work them. Thats why you end up digging to the good ones!

It is not a simple answer what do you mean by entering? When I have a pup i,am bringing on I mooch about with it every day in the countryside but only when I know it will come running back to me when I call it, you have to bond with the dog and it has to have a willingness to please you. My pups often come running back with pigeons or rabbits they have pulled out of the hedge back, but you have to be on your toes in case you have to call them back, you have to nurture them. A dog is allways learning from day one and so is the owner its all down to experience and is not a straight answer you ca
-
Its an age old question, and not one that can be answered easyly on the internet. Its all down to the dog and the owner. Not all dogs are the same, also the owners ability to jugde when there dog is ready. Its not that simple and is down to experiance, find out for yourself, you will learn more in the long run. You learn from both mistakes and achievments.

Only bad handling or dodgy ferrets makes them bite you , feeding meat doesw give them sloppy crap though.
-
its up to you weather you skin them I don,t. When I feed pidgeons all thats left is the head and some feathers. With rabbits they just rip off what they want and try and drag the carcass into the sleeping quarters
-
Yeah do not over feed them, but like rob w says take any out the day after as it will rot and attract flies, they will take it into the sleeping compartment
-
Its Ok mate, Yes I feed mine on dry ferret food aswell as rabbits and pheasants pigeons etc. But mostly dry food and they thrive on it. Ive fed them on this for a long time, before then when I was younger I used to feed them on meat and cat biscuits but they look alot better on dryed ferret food. You just have to make sure they do not eat too much and start piling wieght on!

Seriously, ive never starved my ferrets ( or dogs for that matter LOL ). I work my ferrets quiet allot and never have any problems. I would not like to go to work if I had not been fed for 2 days. I think its just an old mans tail, just like not feeding them on anything else but meat in case it makes them not want to hunt. Sorry for been sarcastic, I thought you were joking too!
-
personally i would starve it for a week, i allways starve my lurchers a month before working them too

God bless those crazy fools!
