glynn jones used to get the brass ones your talking about from Italy but he can,t get them any more, he has a design which is simaler but better but he can,t get anyone to make them up at the right price. Ive had the brass locking type one for nearly 10 years there the best slip ive ever had the other ones allways come open if you catch them ,the brass ones had a knurled catch on the you pushed forward to open them and were a quality piece of kit.

    dvd burner!!

A lot of the dvd,s made now are dual layer so you need a dual layer burner drive and the discs are expensive. When you work out the price of the drive and the programs it comes to about £100 and then the price of the discs and your time and pulled out hair and the discs you knack up trying to record it . I,ve given up its cheaper to buy copies off the market, they will give you another if its poor quaility, and other things like coursing dvds you can buy new, how many dvd,s can you buy for the above price. I can,t be bothered with the hassle.I also spent loads of cash on crappy programs that
  6. A litter of first crosses can throw either way some more greyhoundy and some more towards the collie. With them been first cross back to first cross you have more of a chance of them been typey true to form, but a racey lighter first cross greyhound x collie if you are lucky enough to pick one out can be one hell of a dog for general lamping, ferreting ocassional hare if the circumstances are right and many make good foxing dogs. But some will tell you different.

    dvd burner!!

ive tried them all and some are good for certain types of format and some will work for others, but the one that works on most of them is dvd shrink which is a free down load from the "afterdawn" site which roughly speaking breaks it down to record and then works automatically with NERO 6 to record it ! This I have learned from alot of wasted money on other programs. Sometimes after all the pratting about and wasted discs and the price of the programs I think its a waste of time. :realmad:
  8. only time i have had ferrets loose fur in the many years ive kept them is through stess, for example if it is caged with another ferret which fights with it and hassles it all the time.
  9. when you say her back end is going do you mean her back legs?can she walk around ok if you offer her a tit bit will she eat it,sometimes they can have a stroke which can parilize their rear legs which stops them from getting food and water its happened to mine before, hope not in your case

  12. last year I spotted 2 orange ones in the same field ,never seen any before they were like tango rabbits bright orange ! Went back later at night and shot one with the 12 bore never spotted the other one again.
  13. SHAUN my vet prescribed frontline years ago for my collie because he gets a flea allergy. Hes 14 now and I use it regular on him and my other dogs. We are surrouded by arable fields and nothing else will touch the fleas in summer. Please can you elaborate on the collie thing. I believe what you say, could you give me more info so I can quiz the vet. Also would it be possible for you to sell me some as every penny helps
  14. Ideally you should have seperated them before they gave birth. My breeding cage has a seperate lid for the main run where I put the food for the mother to take, so I do not disturb the young babys for at least three weeks. Be carefull if you spook the mother she will kill them, any dead ones from birth she will usually drag out of the sleeping compartment.
