  1. I'm going out there for a meal soon Is the Waterford Lodge any good now, must be nearly 20yrs since i was last there
  2. Hibiscrub is the stuff surgeons wash their hands with prior to surgery. As you can imagine it will kill almost everything, and much easier than faffing about washing with this, adding that. http://www.google.co.uk/#q=hibiscrub&hl=en&prmd=imvns&source=lnms&tbm=shop&ei=gPhET53sD42JhQeA4bT2AQ&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=6&sqi=2&ved=0CF8Q_AUoBQ&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=2f416f61c644263b&biw=1152&bih=721 If you know any nurses ask them to get you one from work
  3. Lovely looking lad, will leave a big space and lots of memories.
  4. I know 2 of the merle were dogs, other than that no idea. I will PM Woodga on here, he may give you more info The dam.
  5. Totally unrelated Sherlock, you would have to ask Woodga the breeding of the dogs. I remember he got loads of stick when the litter was born, people saying there had to be merle, and doubting the parentage etc. He is an honest man and had no reason to lie about it. He bred the bitch with the dog, and the bitch was definitely never with another dog. Some came out rough coated, some smooth....
  6. Woodga bred his terrier bitch, both sire and dam had no merle, and non known in there recent ancestory yet some of the pups came out black/grey merle, or brown/black merle.
  7. Love this pic Moll, as you know I have a soft spot for little keepa having been pinned to the chair by her Try living with her
  8. Most of mine live outdoors all through the winter, as long as the coops are completely draft free and dry, it is not a problem. Any young birds will need extra protection. The growers i have for you are in an outdoor coop but with an electric hen to keep the chill out. Edited to add....the ones outdoors are many to a coop to provide body warmth, if you only have 2 or 3 you will need to bring into the shed
  9. You run the risk of ruining it's coat through shaving it. Get it hand stripped next time
  10. Even you couldnt get 60 in your gob at once
  11. Lepto jab is included in the normal vacc's...although it does not cover all types of lepto, you cannot get a jab for them all
  12. If you like a challenge Tom, then serama are the birds for you Hatching is very hard as is keeping some alive after they hatched. One positive...serama hens are very broody, stopping them from sitting is the trouble. I have no show standard birds available, they are all spoken for. And you will find this the country over Tom. But i can supply you with birds good enough for breeding potential show stock. Another thing with Serama along with the lack of breeding for colour you can put two mediocre birds together and get a stunner, and vice versa! I have approx 60 birds/growers/chic
  13. Nothing with Serama is ever straight forward Socks. They will never lay 7 eggs per week, but do lay on and off all year round, i have not stopped hatching all winter. The better the hen...meaning shape/size, the less the lay, perhaps 2 per week. Other hens up to 5 per week. It take approx (But it depends upon the size of the hen) 3 serama eggs to make one normal eating egg.
  14. Will they be for showing or pet Tom?
  15. Silkied or straight feathered? I'll have a pair of either for you. If you are interested i can post some pics.
  16. persistance is a virtue  It's my only one
  17. Stop hijacking my thread or i will beat you with something harder than diarrhea.. One of your firm sweetcorn filled ones?
  18. i can't have anything for you..how about if i stick one one your head and beat you within a inch of your life with a sock full of diarrhea.. Sounds like i can't have anything for you..how about if i stick one one your head and beat you within a inch of your life with a sock full of diarrhea.. If it stops the mice eating my bird food.....i will suffer it
  19. That is what i am having to do Tomo, , but the soil is not compact and you cannot get a good sod out. Thought someone might have some hints on how to locate the runs near the surface, it is almost impossible to find them with the probe. Patrick...it is pest control, not my own garden
