  1. My Alaunt bitch happily putting up with a bit of a worrying from a 6 week old Patt pup...she was loving laying about with the pups sunbathing the other day...big softie...
  2. Are the chucks retrieved oven ready or is there some untangling to be done?. It was past the oven stage mate...
  3. All gone...now how easy was that... One going to Swaino...the other going to 21dangermouse... Tomorrow's offer is a 2 year old Irish bred coursing greyhound bitch with a new found interest in my wife's chickens...can post...
  4. Not near as dangerous as the girl in your avatar pic...
  5. Looking to gift these to someone who'll use them...had them for a while...my lad bought them and used them until I converted him to string with a loop in it... These are real leather and in good nick...pics explain how they're used...last a lifetime...might suit a young lad or someone starting out... PM name and address and I'll get em posted...within reason though lads...Botswana, Iceland and such like will cost ya postage... Take care Colin
  6. This place is something else...whatever happened to 'each to their own'...I know one or two decent fellas who just don't post on here anymore...perhaps this is an example of why they choose not to...
  7. Think that might be the plan mate...I better watch out...
  8. Do I detect crossed fingers Jamie...
  9. I'm in the doghouse tonight alongside my greyhound bitch...she's never looked at my wife's chickens since she's been here...not even so much as a frustrated sideways glance...but today...for whatever reason, maybe the heat got to her, she galloped past the window with a hen in her mouth...one pissed off wife, one dead hen and one sheepish greyhound...and one set of satisfied ferret kits... Butter wouldn't melt...think the 'free ranging' greyhound might need to be curtailed meantime...
  10. I've often thought of the peddler tag many attach to Hancock and I'm not sure it's entirely fair or accurate...Hancock's a commercial lurcher breeder and he's never made any secret of this...I have known David Hancock for almost 30 years...and he's nothing, if not one of the most honest guys I have ever dealt with...everything he sells he has bred on the premises, knows the ancestry of and has an in depth knowledge of what he's breeding...to my mind a puppy peddler will buy in dogs and litters no matter the breed or provenance and sell them to anyone to make a buck ans isn't too concerned abou

  12. Met a few lads from here...some really decent guys too...and then there's Whin.... Always good to meet other (hopefully) like minded folk...have a few 'things' arranged for this winter...life's tapestry and all that...always keen to see and hear different perspectives, learn from others and to enjoy good human and canine company...

  14. 2 pups reared together do better ..fact I agree. Pups together have always got someone to play with and learn to gallop. Greyhound rearers rear whole litters together. The competition toughens them up. I can't think of anything less appealing than attempting to rear and train two lurcher pups whether out of the same litter or not...greyhound men may well rear whole litters together...but what's expected of them??? Not a lot really...just have to run as fast as they can after a mechanical hare...they don'y need recall, they don't teach 'em to sit, stay, lie down...or to jump, or to
  15. Yeah can't beat a good row - I'll start it...Hancocks??? They're all shit...never seen a goodun...ever...
  16. PM didn't go mate you need to empty your inbox...cheers Colin.
  17. Hey Gnasher - would love to read Magri's book...sent you a PM...
