  6. 100% agree on that one Gnasher...it's as easy or complicated as you want to make it... Move more/eat less...or more and eat clean...but keep it realistic and simple and enjoy it...and also don't forget you ain't changing the habits of a lifetime overnight...
  7. If your wanting to cut then i would recommend a 500 calorie deficit daily any thing less and you will feel like shit, 1 gram protein/per lb of bodyweight, slow digesting carbs (sweet potatoes, yams, and so on, and healthy fats such as avocado, nuts and omega 3's. I would also recommend rice cakes, great with peanut butter and low fat cheese spreads for snacks in between meals. your better trying to work out your BMR/TDEE and macro's first. http://www.1percentedge.com/ifcalc/ good luck with your program. thank you very much mate thats very helpful Keep it simple mate...good c

  9. And ain't that the truth... Too crazy for me by far...I'm just gonna feck off and enjoy the summer, my pup and real life...take care... Adios...
  10. Maybe best eh??? You just totally rubbished this man's dog on an open forum... No need for that...knew the positive and thought provoking input wouldn't last...nothing changes...
  11. Phil...same here dogs just like the sheep they herded eventually got too old for the hill (often as young as 5 or 6 years old...)...but not too old to be of use on a more forgiving and sedate landscape...I have passed dogs onto lads who worked flat grassland and the dogs have given several more useful years of service...often still doing a bit handy work in their dotage...the sheep too...hard old life for a high up Blackie...so, we'd have 5 crops of lambs and draft them to lowland pastures where they would often produce another 3 or 4 crops and live past 10 years old...
  12. WUD YOU SAY VIN IT AT TOO COME OFF FULL WORKING PARENTS TO DO IT, HAS IVE SAID ROUNDING SHEEP UP ON A HILL HIS TOTALLY DIFFRENT TO HUNTING BUNNYS,,, Rounding up sheep is still hunting though...I would rather use a good rangy hill collie that's grafting than a collie that's having a few days ferreting every season...my thinking there is that the herding cur is tested to the extreme...heart, lungs, sinew, bone and psyche put through it every day...some of these hill dogs may run 30, 40 or maybe 50 miles on a big gathering day...while hunting sheep constantly and be on the go from first l
  13. Aye...Whin's okay...but I have to listen to some amount of self righteous bullshit...I get a raw deal...
  14. Yeah...dinner was good...Jacqui's a great cook...totally spoils me... You were a whole day late for the apple pie mate...and there was a cheescake in fridge but I didn't fancy eating it at that time in the morning??? I've since indulged though... Couple of greedy b*****ds........... Hate to see waste... Not so keen on the waist though...

  18. FEEL FREE TO PUT SOME POSTS UP OF YOUR WINTER TRIPS OUT, THAT WILL KEEP YOU AWAKE,,,LOLI did in the winter, why is it always about the collie, the working ability of the bull or deerhound or saluki or bedlington or whatever never seems to require the same level of scrutiny? It's a thread started by someone with an obvious knowledge of collies and collie xs and most of the posters who have had something worthwhile to add are kinda like minded...none of the saluki, bull or deerhound lads have contributed...sure there's been threads "scrutinizing" these types in the past...just a discuss
  19. Would be happy to do it all again with this lad...
  20. As Sock said herding is just hunting in a subliminal sense...hunting without the 'end game' so to speak...seen collies take it too far...the killing instinct is just simmering below the surface and the results have been catastrophic...if I had time I would be happy to bring on a collie dog pup and hunt it like a lurcher...I have done it in the past...with success...the problem could easily lie in the fact that if it don't look like a greyhound lots of folk just ain't interested...good thread this Jim...
  21. There's a huge difference between a hardy hill type collie and the mechanical/robotic trialling type seen working and percieved to be laid back, very steady and waiting on commands... I herded 800 blackfaced ewes on a hill farm and take it from me my dogs had to be full on when needed...certainly didn't make 'em bad collies...takes a fair hardy old dog to stop a blackie ewe when her head's down and her tail's birling...full on's just what's required... If I was looking for a collie stud...I'd opt for a hill type collie, tall and rangy who's grafting day in day out...without complaining...if
