  1. Depending on her indoors, I may stay down there the week. Bring the van, fish a bit (Get a sneeky practise in) and go on the Wye after real fish.................. She's away at the moment, will be back Monday. I'll run it past her then. If not I'll be tenting. Oh, and there's plenty of Sloe gin left too.
  2. Fook me. Told the misses i would be taking her away to the Welsh garden of Eden for her birthday. To watch a fine bunch of men do battle against the best fish in Wales, have a little drink afterwards and some roadkill to eat. Now it's changed again FFS  No worries................She said. "F*ck my birthday, i'm going to my Sisters any way" Why not put the date of the match on the topic heading.........................Once it's been decided that is. ................Oh, and i might have 2 Barbel rods for sale too.
  3. 17 August is the misses Birthday. No matter, iv'e been hillwalking with another women on Michelles birthday before, so she won't mind.
  4. You could still use them Arch, have a day on the wye on the saturday its only a mile down the road. Does the place have a web site and do they accept Caravans ?? I could make a long weekend of it and come over with her indoors. £13 pound a night, seen it.
  5. Well thats a bummer coz iv'e just bought 2 Barbel rods. Never mind. They'll get used up here.
  6. Farage ahead on points at the moment IMO.
  7. If only dogs could talk. I wonder how many of them would be turning in their owners for a better one ??
  8. What does it matter ?? We're not in a leauge table, there is no promotion or relegation at the end of the year. If you're happy with your dogs, then fine. My two are pets first and foremost, they just happen to be Lurchers. I get out as often as I can with them and I try to give my dogs what I think they need. If someone else's dog is better than mine (And they probably are) Well you know what, I can live with that. ATB, Arch.
  9. I wanted to be a fortune teller in the past,.............But didn't see a future in it ??
  10. Fook me, am i tired. Went to work at 7am on Friday and didn't get home untill 1:30pm Saturday. Fecking Standby. Watched the first game via Sky+ then the second one live. I was hoping for the slimey toads to pull it off, and for a short while i thought they might. Sadly, it was not to be. Well done Ireland, worthy winners. Nice For O'driscoll to go out on a bang. England are certainly on the up and when all the injuries are cleared up should have a very good team. Scotland and Italy are always going to struggle. Wales, Well i said it a while ago and i'm still of the same oppinion. They'

  12. Days like this haven't come around too often for us recently, so we have to make the best of it when they do.
  13. My missus wants to know who i'm talking to on that fu*king forum site. (Her words not mine) .............No one dear. Wales lost, so no one's about. :boogy:
  14. 29-18 With half of the first choice team missing, and a Triple Crown to boot. WELL DONE ENGLAND
  15. OH MY LORD....................I can feel a really big headache coming on!!!!! I suppose this thread will be quiet tonight............... A well done England will do. Thats all.
  16. I can recommend these. We went on a short midweek break a few years ago. No locks on the Ashby canal either, a bit more rural than some canals too. Fishings sh*t though....... http://www.ashbyboats.com/index.htm
  17. Cheers Malt. I thought we did quite well. Didn't Ireland give you a good old drubbing? Didn't the frogs beat you? Yes they did Mal but only by a couple of points yet we managed to put 27 over them. Should be a good game, I say wales by 5-10 points. TC Now then, i'm going out on a limb here. But I think the current Welsh team is coming to the end of it's shelf life. Just like the English did after the '03 world cup. Warburton didn't look interested last Saturday to me. He shook hands with the mascot and that was it. Never sang the national anthem, never questioned the r
  18. Looks like Cornwall to me. River Fowey or Fal where the big ship is moored i think. Used to spend our holidays down there when we were kids. Happy memories.
  19. My Mum used to do a Ox tonuge every Christmas. Boil it for a few hours, let it cool, peel off the outer skin, press it into a pudding bowl wedged under the kitchen cupboards with bean tins, tip it out when it set and slice it. Lovely.
  20. Just goes to show you don't need loads of tries in a game to make a good match. Two well matched teams going at it all game. Could have gone either way. Well done England, hard luck Ireland..............................Now, whos next ??
  21. A game for the purist or the Welsh to be honest. As an Englishman, I got bored with the game TBH, mainly due to the re-starts at the scrum and the stop start of the breakdown. The scrum never went down when we played, back yes. But never down. The scrum still needs to be sorted out, it's killing the game. And why does the modern player need to look up before playing the next phase. Either pick and go or let the scrum half take it a pass straight away. None of this look to see whats on sh*t. Pass and play, simple really. It's not a game i'm that bothered about watching anymore, and thats a
  22. Bol*ocks........(Not to any one in particular, just the game) Good game and i think England played better in defeat than Wales did in winning. But a W is all that matters. Winning ugly ?? Heard that somewhere before. :hmm:
