  5. hi chris where abouts are you based. sounds like a nice little shoot you got. my mate had a shoot neat to a resavouir which he eventually lost. the water made the wildlife more abundant. good sport for his shotgun and rifle. also handy being so close. my crow shoot is 500 acres but its a bit of a drive away. Hello there, I'm based in the Northeast of Scotland, its a lovely little perm with loads of backstops and has plenty of rabbit, crow, pigeon, fox and deer. Its sometimes has the odd visiting duck but unfortunately the pond has been frozen since xmas so havn't seen any since mid Decem
  6. I really enjoy squirting away at bunnies and crows with my hmr. I've just gotten a small 50 acre perm 2 mins from the hoose which has a duck pond smack bang in the middle with high banks all round. I've seen 2 fox's at night but only had the air rifle at the time, so i'm now thinking in setting up a small hide and baiting up so i might have a chance at popping them with the hmr as Deker does. I'll report the outcome. Atb Chris.

  8. Your trying to sell a rifle in the wrong section nugget!!
  9. Thats an interesting one, but probably not as bad as many may think, how often does the opportunity arise to head shoot a crow at 400 yards  ? So as long as you don't get into any rapid fire contests, and keep them clean probably not too bad! These are not your daily, run of the mill bunny bashing tools! 10. As the gentlemen said Transonic is either side of 1129 fps. .8 below and 1.2 above supersonic is the range of speed defined as transonic. Mcgoo your throwing stones in a glass house as usual and its getting very tiring, i really wish you'd just leave or have a word with yourself. Your not doing yourself any favours.
  11. I wonder what sort of life these barrels have with bullets passing through at 4000 fps.
  12. Every time you open your mouth you dig a deeper hole..... What I said was ....Velocitors..... ......they run at 1435 ft sec with 183ft lb at the muzzle and go transonic at just short of 100 yards, therefore stability is debatable. Transonic is the aerodynamic period at or around the speed of sound, that is between sub sonic and supersonic, where on earth do you get this hypersonic gibberish from, and the reason I said just short of 100 yards is because thats when a Velocitor drops to sub sonic from supersonic in the normal course of events, A Velocitor will NEVER go Hypersonic.
  13. Cheers Duncan al give it a go [bANNED TEXT]. All the best with the pup. I'm going to def give him a go on the lamp, reads brilliant, looking forward to trying. Atb Chris.
  14. Incidently his parents are working dogs from Middlesburgh, they both retrieve at the falconry.
  15. Great read, I've got a great big lump of a GSP and he's dead keen, he's 11 months and a bit vocal at the moment. Getting pretty good at retrieving dummies and anything we throw for him, has this habit of dropping it short of the hand at the moment too. I'm planning on getting him retrieving for the geese and ducks next season. Never done any lamping for rabbits with a dog at night, has anyone used these for this? ATB Chris.
  16. I'll have lobstertube on my manhood thanks   NUTS!!!!!
