  1. Old BRNO Model 2 similar to the one pictured above, lovely old rifle that shoots nice and accurate out to about yards. Maybe farther but thats my comfortable limit. Chris.
  2. I'm in Scotland, sorry about the crap pics, i'll have another go with the wifes camera shortly. Atb Chris.
  3. Hi folks, Here are pics of my Weihrauch HW80. I've just recently completely overhauled the gun fitting a new mainspring and its running at 11.6 with RWS superdomes. The piston was polished to a mirror shine and it fires silky smooth. Cosmetically its in good overall condition and will last a lifetime if cared for. This is the full length model which i've zeroed at 35 yard and shoots extremely accurately, the only reason i'm selling her is as i already have the carbine model and have no need for 2. The HW comes with an excellent Hawke Sport HD illuminated ret scope which is 3x9-40, sports
  4. Yep sorted pal ,many thanks. It'll work fine on my rims and air but unfortunately the bolt on my Steyr .243 is never going to slip past it and it would also mean having the camers at least 4 inches back from the scope due to the length of the bolt as well. Back to the drawing board as i really wanted it for the centre fire. I reckon i'm back to square one here and going to have to buy a nv scope instead, thinking cap on again. Bit worried my .243 might rattle the camera to bit too. Cheers all the same as i'll go down this route with the camera for the rest om my firearms. Thanks
  5. Nice one pal, and heres me thinking you actually get such a thing, want a laugh i am a plumbing heating engineer and i was thinking it looked rather like a waste fitting. I've all the different sizes in my bloody garage. Cheers Chris. :icon_redface:
  6. Sorry bud i'm lost here as i don't know what that thing is at all. I'm looking through about 2000 items on ebay and well stuck, any pointers? Cheers Chris.
  7. Thanks for that bud, i'm going away to have a look for one right now. Atb Chris.
  8. Right i've got everything sussed out except the camera mount, found Si's vids on the subject (cheers) but can't find for the life of me a mount for the camera. Atb Chris.
  9. Hi folks, I'm seriously thinking of having a go at the camera mounted ir setup with the ir300. The problem i have is what do i need to attatch a Sony handycam to my rifle and is the Sony PC9E the best camera to do the job? I ideally want the setup to work on my pcp, spring air, rim and centrefire rifles but honestly have know real idea if this is possible? I've decided to go for the ir300 unles anyone else can convince me on anything better. Any advise would be greatly apreciated. All the best Chris.

  11. I've taken precautions and decided to put myself into self induced coma with malt whiskey, medication is about to commence in the next few minutes before the debate heats up. Cheers fay the dog.
  12. Yeah for sure. A cobalt drill bit is probably the best bet for drilling the hole.
  13. So are you saying the objective lens cover is not square but angled? If so i've not seen a bushnell with this. I know Tasco do this as a sort of sunshade, pass.
  14. Elites and Trophy XLT are very good as well.
  15. Strip the gun. Get the hole tig welded and rebored to its original size pal. Anyone with a tig welder could do it, 2 minute job. I'm in Aberdeenshire and could get it done for nowt if your nearby. Chris.
  16. You wouldn't, you just keep deluding yourself pal!!!.......

  18. My lr is set at 60 yards and i have a little book with my impact points on the reticle written in for various ranges from 20 to 90 yards. No wind means i rarely miss unless i pull the shot which does happen sometimes.
  19. Your mistaken bud, that was not the intention of the post, thats why i said each to their own, i like the theory too then it gets to a point where i find it rather tedious and hair splitting, but thats just my personal opinion of course, had a nice Roe Doe this morning too, love the bigger stuff as well as the smaller prey Atb Chris.
  20. Nice one pal, cheers. Atb Chris.
  21. Went out yesterday, zeroed my lr at 60 yards, nice groups within a threequarter inch circle, stuck a lamp on and shot 20 rabbits at various ranges at night. Job done. Thats what it all about for me, each to their own though, good luck with the never ending arguments, i'm of to get more rabbits. Atb Chris.
