just that some dont feed their dogs before they take dogs out on lamp,then run 30+ rabbits it can take its toll on a dog aswell as the walk home even fit dogs need water dont they? who the f**k in their right mind is not going to feed their dog before taking it out,mine get fed last thing at night no matter what,clean water availiable all day,following night ready to run,end of,im not saying they not gonna take a slurp out of a puddle but f****d if im going to carry their water for them ask other dog lads bud about not feeding them before giving them a run,most greyhounds dont get fed

one of my mates dogs retrieved a massive human turd what he thought was a mars bar at first :sick: :sick: then my lurcher pup i took to show my dad in his garden retrieved his prize blue poppy flower head live to his hand

a squirt isnt a drink nd they dont blow then,known some strange stuff put down for dogs in ponds,never had a dog die from eating a bit of mars bar?you can not always know the land your lamping can you atb mick

nice one johnnie,even super fit boxers stop for water every 3 mins, as for choclate in dogs being bad am not sure,but its better than nowt nd i dont think it would hurt a working dog,as much as it would to give it a dog every day that dose nothing well thanks for your replys.

so some do give them treats to help them on i just thought it would help some of these lads to help keep the dogs blood sugars up cos they can lose a lot on a good nights work,cheers 3 turns hope this helps some one?

yeah if your only playing at it thats all they need but if your running them hard they will lose weight nd need a bit of something dont they? fresh smells of rabbits maybe getting dog over excided,try going some where where there is no bunnys nd do his retreveing on lamp there,worth a try?

While out lamping do you take water for lurchers when working hard on lamp?,give us a few tips lads? i used to take a squirty jiff lemon, watered down with a bit of honey in while walking dogs on lamp to give them a squirt after a fair few

like i said to you south yorkshire flapping tracks nd greyhound tracks are full of these dogs so why use coursing stock?to breed lurchers?when i said this you answered me in block caps nd wall bash,now your praising said places,nd lurchers all lovely pic's most info i have enjoyed,i used to love to read old sammy stuff,nd grews as a baseline for lurchers works just as good as coursing bloodlines sorry to point this out as you do know your stuff
