  1. Sonny, I don't need quote you. Trawling through the minor details of what "he said, she said", is for trolls. All you have done is prove yourself to be the idiot.
  2. No, you are acting like a little prick. And yes you have bragged. Repeatedly. All the "he said, she said "stuff belongs in the play ground. Which is where I suggestion you Return to.
  3. When you look to be defined by what you have done with your dogs, you are just a man with a dog, willy waving. No more, no less. If you want to be a "dog man" you need to have more class about how you manage your dogs and how you go about your business. Right now, "the Return" you are acting like a kid with a dog.
  4. I always know where my car is. On permission. So I’ve never felt that pain.
  5. So why are you worried about loosing your car?
  6. Your need to respond to my post tells me as much about you as your reply does.
  7. There are 3 sides to every argument. Your side. Their side, and the truth. The sooner some of you lads learn that, the better your decisions will be. I spent decades "knowing" what I wanted. I've seen some good dogs been put under the sod on the back of such thinking. Some commenting on this thread need to learn what they need from a dog. Wants are for dreamers.
  8. The only thing running on this thread is your mouth.
  9. It shouldnt limit their ability to work sheep. But they would do it just that little bit faster, Ours have all coped with dual roles
  10. 26" but only 50lbs ish. Very deceptive to look at, but he only carries bulk where he needs it.
  11. Just coming back from surgery. The more time I spend with those type the more I wish I’d considered them earlier
  12. Saluki/grey x whippet, back to 3/4 saluki 1/4 whippet. 23” 45lbs. She’s a good bitch with enough stamina, runs well on all ground, on all game. As my granddad used to call it “ an hungry runner”. No world beater but she only has me to please. She can be a cnut with other dogs especially if there’s a catch on the ground. Her downfall his her coat. Doesn’t cope with bad weather and is permanently being stitched back together
  13. One trait heavily collie bred lurchers have is putting old heads on young shoulders.
  14. Those panda crosses should sell well! Good luck with them. Collies and their crosses have served me well over the years. I don't see myself having another pure collie, or one with such strong collie breeding again, not because I don't appreciate what they can be capable of in the right hands, or have the work for them. Just that I no longer have the right temperament to get the most out of them.
  15. Nobody selects a dog based on shit expectations. Do they?
  16. Its not, but I'm not going to knock somebody breeding something that works for them. I spent decades knocking Saluki's and their crosses, but ended up with one. Where lurchers are concerned we should be grateful that there are still folk running, and proving stuff that could add to the more more mainstream, working lurcher. I'm keeping well by the way TC. trying to juggle the shoots and working the dogs too is keeping me busy. Hope all is good down your end
  17. They may not be everyones cuppa tea, but there's plenty moan about the lack of suitable collie studs for putting over pures or longdog type lurchers. Dogsbre and worked like collie Johns would be a damn good choice.
  18. Dogs like these will need a slip lead. I've one similarly bred and often shes gone out, quartered ground, found and caught before most folk have finished scanning the field with a lamp. Theres more to lurchers than just slipping and big bags. Dont get me wrong, If I wanted to go out and catch on fast ground Id take my Saluki cross. But if stuff needs finding and hunting first and foremost I'd back my collie curs everyday of the week. And twice on Sundays.
  19. If you can get along with the collie mentality, curs such as these should make great mooching companions. Good luck with them CJ
