  1. but again your not 16 Cheers anyways Trev my point was that it'll be hit and miss that you get pulled by a cop that actually knows his stuff. You got let off, and your 16. My mates dad's a grown man and they tried to throw the book at him. like i said, law's are only as effective as those who uphold them.
  2. my mates dad bought a HW 100, without the pump/divers bottle and had to go back to the gunsmiths for a refill. this gunsmiths is on a very busy road in a student area and its pay and display and private parking all over (even the guy who works there has to feed the parking meter all day while he works!) so he parked a 10 minute walk away in a free car park where he was pulled by a policeman who told him it was illegal to walk around with a rifle in public AND CONFISCATED IT!!!!!!!! so he rung up the police station to get it back and they confirmed the mis-informed jobsworth copper had no righ
  3. i take it, it doesn't review specs? just messing pal aaaaaaahhh, the glasses! took me a while! v.funny i could've saved mysen 20 quid and got the NHS specials, but thought better of it.
  4. slightly off subject, but does anyone know if that 54 quid barrel mount chronograph from JSRamsbottom's is any good, or is it kinder surprise quality?
  5. have you heard of a site called The Review Center? its a place i always like to check before i buy stuff.
  6. my leapers 4-16x50 AO IR came from china, took a while but came with a note explaining why, summat to do with changing delivery companys, its been off the rifle a few times for servicing etc and i've not had it on for any massive length of time to tell you about its long term performance, but on the few times i have been out with it i've had kills and its remained consistent. oh and it had pretty much the same specs as my mates 260 quid hawke sidewinder tac 30 whatever, minus posh reticle, but only cost me 50 quid. the seller was called "2urhands"
  7. Hi all, I'm wondering who to go to for shooting insurance, is it worth shelling out for expensive cover through BASC or such like, or will cheaper cover do? Has anyone ever had to make a claim on their insurance, and how did it go? any chance of this being pinned for others to see?
  8. hi darren SHAME!!! on you!! for ditching your AATX200HC just out of interest what did you let it go for? regards davy a mate of mine broke the cocking shoe. so i eventually sold it to arthur turner of sheffield for 100 quid, sorry mate. i kind of had to cos my mate who i was buying the falcon off had driven me miles to sell it. i didn't like it anyway, too heavy for me. i suppose if i loved it i'd have got more for it but i couldnt wait to get rid to be honest, and the falcon was a steal, my mate paid 600 for it , then needed some quick cash and sold it to me for 400 with
  9. Simon, is your inbox full? i've tried to PM you but it won't send.
  10. also, thanks for the advice guys. i've realised i've opened myself up for a right lynching on ere.....
  11. Hmm, didn't really think of the knock on effects of posting such stuff on an open forum The last thing i want to do is to bring the sport into disrepute. Apologies.
  12. "I've got permission for everywhere till i say run"
  13. theres a falcon owners club website. they helped me out pretty good, they have stripdown guides for most popular falcons and seem like a bunch of top blokes. hope your gun gets sorted mate, not long since i chucked quid at my falcon on a new silencer and having it brought back up to power an it shoots like a dream. Oh, in fact, mine started leaking an i was umming and aahhhing about taking it to bits to get at the seals, but, i'd had new scopes on an took the pump out so i could re-fill after i'd re-zeroed, an someone on the owners forum said its probably just a bit of crap of the floor of t
  14. funnily enough, iv got a Falcon PF18 MP, and whilst tryin to research it before i bought it off my mate, found approximately 2 photos of it on the ENTIRE INTERNET!!! so i ordered some brochures from falcon and its not even in there! i think i've got the only one in existence. what a rifle by the way, i got rid of my tx200hc to get mine and i love it an understated rifle in the price bracket if you ask me.
  15. theres a falcon owners forum, those guys sorted me out with some sound advice. they're apparently a bit rare are falcons, i was trying to find out about mine which i bought off a mate and found bugger all. mines not even in the falcon brochure! soz but i dont know owt about the FN19. what i do know is that i absolutely adore mine (which turned out to be a PF18 MP) its my first pcp after i got rid if my tx200 hc mk3. its perfectly capable of one holers at 25 yards. it sounds like you paid a good price to me. iv also heard about the de-twanger mod, but my local gunsmith , probably quite rightly
  16. there was a thread on here a while ago about the usefulness of camouflage and someone said its only good for hiding from other humans. there are no chances of permission up my end and if there were, i'd probably get turned down cos i live on a scummy council estate, full of the types of people that folk won't want wandering round their land with an air rifle. i can't drive, and im skint so i'd not be able to pay anyway. my only option to go shooting is to just go, and be as inconspicuous as possible.
  17. alright mate. did you do that dip yourself or did you send it to someone like hydrographics? its just iv seen a diy dip kit for 100 quid but was worried about dipping all the metalwork myself, i assume the pro's must have some super drying/anti rust method.
  18. excellent, i had a game like that for me old playstation, bullet-cam was so satisfying if you could curve it over a hill miles away.
  19. or8 man. i your first person from sheff iv seen on ere!

  20. my mate flogged the same gun, 50 quid scope, bag an same pellets for 75 quid, this is in better nick than his but i'd still not pay more than 90 quid for it.
  21. i wish someone would've explained all that to me about ages ago! Markha, dont suppose you could work out all the mil-dot compensation for a 25 yard zero with crosman premiers, could you(joke, although feel free if you fancy a challenge)
  22. i personally couldn't wait to get rid of my .177 tx200hc because of its weight. i hated it and as a result, will never own an underlever again. pointing it up at the tops of trees was a nightmare, with the reticle waving all over the shop. i'd only recommend this gun of you're built like a brick s**thouse! I will admit to being a shooter of the noodle-armed variety though.
