  1. Hm, i'll swap you that bag for my measly one squirrel i had today
  2. its a PF18 i think its one of the new models after the FN series, not a full skeleton but the profile stock (which i personally think is sexier that the skelly version) its regulated i think so the shot counts not too bad,(if i got 65 clear shots at quarry on an outing it'd be a miracle!) a lovely gun, very manoueverable and light as a feather. Yeah, iv got a stirrup pump, and i only weigh 10 stone (after a big meal!) and it is knackering. especially from empty, first thing in the morning. well worth the effort though.
  3. ha, yes, im afraid so. its falling to bits and it leaks. i were expecting a new roll up jack pyke one for christmas but it never happened I'm getting it sorted next week sometime though.
  4. i went back to where the woodies were roosting before christmas and scared off 100's of the bloody things, and would they come back again. before chrimbo they just used to return time and time again to the same couple of trees. more mooching in order me thinks
  5. here is a picture of my fashionable hair. And a squirrel.
  6. Although i kinda like that clinical feeling you get from a pcp, I still feel like im missing out on something since i got rid of the TX200. does anyone have any suggestions of a light and easy to handle springer as i intend to get another at some point, i was thinking lightning XL maybe but iv heard they've got quite some recoil. im now worried that shooting the pcp might've turned me into a pansy when it come to weight an recoil and iv got to take this into consideration if i fork out for another rifle.
  7. anyways im off, and im never looking at this thread again!
  8. fair point. im kinda wishing i'd never got involved! at least i never mentioned that i'm a cat lover with 3 of them between me and our lass.
  9. yeah, i'd rather view as a guest as well!!!!
  10. You really dont belong in the hunting world pal. No Shooting/hunting man I know actually enjoys killing, they enjoy hunting and everything that goes with it. If ya so keen on just killing, go buy some mice and drown em to get ya jollys because no one here wants shit like what you have just typed being quoted and tarred on the rest of us! to be honest mate im only rising to the rest of the idiots that've posted on here. i just felt i'd have to stoop to their level to get my point into their stubborn heads and if you read the rest of the thread, all the tarring was done waaay before i pip

  12. ha! I've killed enough stuff wi my rifle, with photo's on my facebook account to prove it. some of it not even humanely as well, long drawn out deaths that aren't pretty to watch sometimes im no hippiei love killing stuff its just that reaching for the rifle to kill someone's pet wouldn't be my first solution to a problem. I would love to kill next doors dog, it does my head in constantly barking till silly o clock in the morning, i could quite easily just put poisoned food outside their door so as soon as they walk it, it troughs the lot but as im a human being that respects someone's right t
  13. also, I'm sure we've all had those kind of shots where you think "no-ones gonna believe I'v just done that" that leaves you grinning for the rest of the day. usually happens when theres no witnesses!
  14. another valid point someone raised on here i completely agree with is that springers do kind of force you to learn good fieldcraft. Only having one pellet at a time and having to make it count does encourage one to be stealthy and know the quarry you're after. i sometimes think practising the art of creeping up on stuff is just as enjoyable as the shooting.
  15. sorry, forgot to ask, did it require a topcoat/laquer of any kind?
  16. the guy in my local gun shop chrono'd my rifle for nowt, then had 30 quid off me to bring it back up to power! make sure you physically SEE it get chrono'd so you KNOW FOR A FACT what the score is cos to this day i don't know if it was actually under or not, i just took his word for it. the rifle should be pushing out roughly 11.5 ft/lbs. if you've found a pellet your rifle likes, use them when you chrono your rifle cos if you have it set up at max power then use lighter pellets, it can be over the legal limit.
  17. i love the look of this rifle, i know a mate who's after an S200 but he's skint at the minute.out of interest, did you have to prime that stock, and how many coats did it take. i think i might do mine.
  18. .(but cheap chinese crap deffo is below the limits lolol). hi mate no hard feeling but dont agree with the above statement. i have had many smk and they are brilliant and ive took rabbits out at 50+ yards with them alot of people underestimate smk rifle and otherchinese makes but why spend hundreds on a pcp like i did when you can buy a couple of very relible springers.im being bias really as most of my rifles have been pcps but i miss shooting a springer,. but like i said this is my opinion atb steve my first ever kill was with a chinese copy of a TX200, a he
  19. I had a TX200HC in .177, probably thought by many to be one of the best springers in the world, but after a couple of hours out with it, fatigue started setting in and tracking squirrels through the scope became impossible as the weight of it kept it moving past the target. pointing it up trees for any length of time became knackering and if i went out 2 or 3 days in a row with it, my wrist really knew about it. Thankfully one day my friend broke it so i sold it for 100 quid and put the money towards my first PCP and i've never enjoyed shooting so much, all the extra money has certainly paid
