  1. MC, I was thinking of getting another rapid 7 as my sub fac is the dogs gonads, huge capacity but obviously at a price, the S410 is half the price, but shot to shot consistency on the rapid is spot on, does anyone have any knowledge of the air arms in fac.
  2. Hi John, i am currently looking around for a fac air rifle to put on my ticket, the reason for this is that i do a lot of caravan parks, holiday villages etc etc, usually i would use the rimmy but understandably have to be carefull because of the high risk of ricochet and overly powerfull for close to mid range work, plus if as i intend to, i only get one chucking out about 36 -48 ft lbs in .22 i will be able to use a premium quality pellet which is only half the weight of a rimmy round and hopefully a lot less prone to ricochet. At the moment the s410 is looking like the one for me, but am o
  3. look forwards to your threads dreckly.
  4. Now i remember why i am to scared to go into towns and cities, MUTANTS.
  5. Put the antis down, keep the bear, at least the bear has a use.
  6. Baldie you got that fu...n right, finally some bloody sense, and before anyone starts yes, i do use lurchers as a tool of the trade also.
  7. Does it get any better than this, I dont think so. Nice one GW and Night runner. Crap day so i,m off to the shed and see what i can do with this info.
  8. Ihave both, the 22-250 gets used a little more on fox, but to be honest since i got my 6.5x55 the other two hardly come out of the cabinets, it is such a forgiving round, unless your on the recieving end. :thumbs-up:
  9. Molly the reason i started using the Autarky was that my older bitch started to have kind of head shaking fits after food, turned out she was suffering from post hipatic shunt, may have spelt that wrong, but anyway was caused by me feeding her v- high amounts of protein because of the amount of work she does and her kidneys/liver could not cope, apparently some dogs get it, anyway spoke to Hancock about it, "whisper that bit" and he suggested that as it is totally organic etc, they have been on it about a year and a half now. Mix packs of raw minced tripe/chicken/rabbit etc, looking good on it
  10. PM Gypo Joe on here he will sort you out. :thumbs-up:
  11. Big rat job came in so i didnt go after all, sounds like a few came away feeling the same as i usually do, if they did not take the piss on the entrance fee i think people would not feel like they had been stitched up, after all there is very little laid on for your money, IMO.
  12. mole catcher you got that 100% right mate.
  13. completley agree with you there Molly, my dogs are positivley shining on a simular diet. :thumbs-up:Forgot to mention though, the dry food, i dont use cheap and nasty just to fill them up, i use Autarky summer, which is 100% natural no colourings or any other crap, its expensive but i dont care, my dogs are worth it.
  14. Martin are you under avon and somerset, just if you are i have heard they are trying it on at the moment, as said already if you have good reason and written permission etc they should give you a ticket, although you will almost deffinetly have to be taken on by someone experienced who will have to sign you off when they consider you profficient, which luckily you seem to have sorted. The only question remaining is calibre, well down here i think they are still saying new fac holders can only have .243, but to be honest i think if you had a good argument for a heavier calibre then you should
  15. nice one john, still reckon you should have stuck one of them imbras in there though. :thumbs-up:
  16. Well done Ferretlove. , did you use any nets, or did you not bother because if the rabbit bolted you knew that big bugger would out run it. , if you take hols in cornwall this year i will give you a weeks work on rabbit clearance. :thumbs-up:
  17. Maybe i am a little biased here but, if someone goes along cap in hand saying they will sort out his pest problems and he gives them a chance, then they do not or are unable to fulfill there promise it is no wonder farmers are so carefull about who they allow on their ground, i can well remember when i was doing it for fun, and made damned sure the farmers saw me around and what i had acheived for fear of someone moving in on my ground.
  18. Depends on what the VERMIN is thats running all over your chicken run.
  19. In the last two days i have been called out to two new rabbit jobs, first one was a small camp site, the other a small dairy farm of about two hundred acres, both places swarming with rabbits, What did they both have in common, EASY, neither of them could find anyone willing to have a pop at them, so they now have to pay me to reduce the numbers. Now usually when i get these calls every tom dick and harry have messed with them, made the job a real bitch and turned their back, So last night i thought go and have a quick look at the camp site with my mate Smackumdown, well in short it was bunny
