  4. well nearly worlds end storm force winds torrential showers ahh yes the british summer ,ferret food and pest control were the order today ,and as the farmer said to woodga do you get a few ,he said errr yes a few ,we walked a good way with the terriers pushing trhough the reeeds to shift the rabbits sitting tight in the reed bunts ,terriers are no good for this tho , the only caught about 20 in the reeds pretty novice standard ,well its been nearly a decade since i shot with alan and as woodga pointed out he can give him lessons to which he replied n no, it was a great day except the we

  6. update had me first sip monday was good ole drop as jasper says i lost more opening the bottles very lively still de gassing the other two bottles i made it does seem to stir the snot up with the gas bubbling the contents up ,anyway its good but a little sweet follwed the recipe on this thread maybe less sugar next time and collect flowers a bit earlier added yeast this time thanks rob

  8. oh how i wish i put it in stronger bottles, i used cheap pop bottles idea being there fizzy as hell so the build up of gas they would be fine ,went in the shed yesterday they have been stretching the bottles , opened them up to release some gas nasa would be proud , they will lift a rocket hope i get to drink some before the lids take the shed roof off !!!xheres hoping :alcoholic:

  10. cheers jasper i dint fancy tipping it down the drain after me getting nettled to collect it and everything thats gone into making it,me shed smells like a brewery now ,some signs today i hope of fermentation frothy on the top in parts thanks rob
  11. just an update mine did not seem to be fermenting so added the yeast ,not sure why maybe flowers too mature or past it ,anyone had the same ?
  12. well it started bad and ended well off we went picking up woodga and typp and flite the rest of dads army following in the other jeep behind after a short while i could feel a vibration through the disco i thought no the wife has hers at home , so i thought take it easy and get there at least after about half an hour we pull up in a layby the lads behind says the wheel is going like a wobbly dog ,on closer inspection 3 wheel nuts have gone no wonder it dont feel right so i whip one off each of the others to get us away ahh that feels better flat out 60 were doing well , let that be a les

  14. nah you can tell by the tail still ragged from biting in the cages and ragging off the bottom,the lakes are in the yorkshire dales read all about it kilnsey lakes
  15. another 1and 3/4 hr trip down to yorkshire to meet up with me brother to have a days fishing with him and me lad ,its clear water with browns blues and rainbows £18 2 fish , anyway it was baking hot but the fish still wanted to play . we had about 10 fish between us 3 with me bro taking the best at 10lb a monster it was in the photo the bottom pic is 3lb ,so you can guage by that me sons fish it was and yes i did manage a couple me self ,yes i know a shock all the best rob
  16. yeah all ones been mentioned worth a try still not sure about chatton tho we fished it april time the day of the troutmasters day ,we fished the top lake fish were of average size ,very open and coffee coloured water may settle as the lakes mature, they are quite deep too .more worth a try are sweethope loughs ,langley dam near hexham ,witton castle, bigger waters the derwent resevoir getting better year by year on catch returns , all the best rob
